just for the record i am no longer holding here as a 70% profit is certainly very satisfactory and one that i wouldn't want to risk losing. all the best to holders

i've made back 3* losses when the takeover talks failed

clearly there is a leak here of ongoing interest

holding long from right near the bottom, moving the gtd stop higher though, as it remains risky

Empire

Yes fine thanks

Very quiet board here which i quite like , no ramping (we get enough of that on CR's Oilers/Miners thread )

Need to have some sort of a balanced portfolio though the TopInfo's tips have been doing me very proud recently

hello paul, hope you are keeping well. looks like the market was a sleep friday pm with this announcement. must admit i left the office at 3pm and it appeared that half the city did also. bought a few OTE and CAO Friday a.m., both performed nicely and should be keen next week as there appears no weight on either of the sp's. all the best

Nice going :-)

Bought plenty of these @ 25.4p ... to stick in the bottom drawer a couple of weeks ago.

+ ~35% already.

May have to consider promoting them to the middle drawer.

Where's that moron scott84 now then ?

stoxx67 i have convinced myself for the time being, just trying to balance an arguement. isn't a dead cat bounce there to be taken advantage of with an exit strategy based on adequate short term return. can't understand why it is expected that it has to be kept as an investment in the hope of 60p when from 25.5 to 30 bid or above in a week is a pretty decent return by any stretch of the imagination.

agree ards

empirestate...are you trying to convince yourself or others fella?

i would not go near these with a bargepole...one feels sure both Connaught and ROK were putting out super statements several months back...

there is always money to be made on the dead cat bounce..however one has to know when to get out...

ALL IMHO

the problem is do you trust the accounts. I really would not put any new money to work until there is a further statement from a new ceo who will want to clean up.

blubutton, did u read the half year report, here is a few snippets
Adjusted profit before tax of £4.6m (2009: £7.7m)
Substantial growth in committed income to £255m (2009: £199m)
Change programmes will now realise total annualised savings of £17.5m
Successful sale of architectural business
Net debt reduced to £22.3m
New committed bank facilities to 2015 signed

Granted that net equity is negative by GBP22m due to the size of goodwill, however
gearing is not excessive and there are not significant negative imbalances between payables and receivables. Connaught/Rok this certainly is not by any stretch of the imagination.

i would have to say this stock bares striking similarities to Connaught and ROK.. there is no point even arguing about it...the share price tells its own story...

be very careful and very quick with a "falling knife"

Missed this one out from the CR pump and dump thread, i think i have
them all now.

He's a day trader so ignore all the ramping here, he will be out at
some point tomorrow.
