08/11/2010 10:01 | Tribal Group plc ("Tribal" or the "Group") announces that its Chief Executive, Peter Martin, will be leaving the Group. Peter has agreed to remain with Tribal until the end of December 2010 and the search for a new Chief Executive has commenced. A further announcement will be made in due course. John Ormerod, Chairman of Tribal, said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Peter for his dedicated contribution to Tribal during his 10 years with the Group. The programme of change to improve efficiencies, instigated under his leadership, continues and we wish him every future success." -------------------- On behalf of shareholders of which i'm not one, i do have a short from 62p tho, i'm sure it goes without saying they would like to thank the outgoing CEO for his outstanding contribution to shareholder destruction, i do wonder where the gravy train takes him next, bon voyage. | 7rend7rader | |

05/11/2010 12:53 | Jobs slashed as Tribal takeover talks crumble Public services outsourcing firm Tribal Group has confirmed that talks about a potential offer have collapsed, sending shares plummeting. Tribal has since announced that a "small number of redundancies", believed to be in the region of 40, are set to take place within the firm's health business. The company, which is active in the health sector, announced it had received preliminary interest from a potential buyer in August. However, Tribal said in a statement that "all such discussions have ceased and each party has confirmed that it is no longer pursuing an offer for the company". The announcement sent shares down by 34% to an all time low of 39 pence. In a separate statement, Kingsley Manning, health executive chairman at Tribal said that given the major changes in the health sector, Tribal has been "reviewing its health business in order to ensure we have the right expertise in place". "As part of this review, we have now entered a consultation that could lead to a small number of redundancies," he added. In October, the consultancy provider revealed it was anticipating substantially lower profits for 2010 than expected, due to challenging trading conditions and confirmed its UK advisory work had been "very subdued" for UK advisory work.
