graham,
interesting question... what would TLY be looking at for their next acquisition...
NHS outsourcing is fragmented, so it's anybody's guess...

They cover some GP/CCG services, Physio, Dermatology, clinical coaching, COPD.. so maybe more services for long term conditions, IT, improving processes, appts, homecare???????

Last March, they were looking at 4 prospective acquisitions and have bought the largest...
I suspect they're busy looking at the other 3...

"We have identified a strong pipeline of acquisitions in the UK outsourced healthcare sector and we look forward to updating shareholders on our progress as we build Totally into a leading out-of-hospital healthcare provider in the UK."

"The Group has identified a strong pipeline of potential acquisitions in the UK outsourced healthcare sector. Of the identified pipeline, the Directors have a preferred list of four target companies although no formal approaches or negotiations have yet begun. The anticipated consideration for the pipeline of acquisitions identified by the Group ranges from GBP3 million to GBP15 million with the pipeline of acquisitions having revenue of up to GBP60 million."

Obviously what the directors at Totally are targeting. Whilst Vocare are the ones they clearly wanted what other parts do the want to complete the group to give the NHS the all round service providers they are looking for.

Sold to Serco in October -

Facilities management - Cooks and cleaners from the article - Not really TLY's target if I read previous comments correctly ..
" The division provides facilities management services for the NHS, ranging from preparing patient meals to cleaning hospitals."

Could benefit TLY ...Optimum already provide this service...

Calls from Sir Muir Gray, public health expert and former chief knowledge officer for NHS England

"‘There are 15 million people with long-term conditions who could benefit from the knowledge and skills of physiotherapists, but you can’t do that face to face.

‘So what can you do with your knowledge to help the people who aren’t referred to you?

‘We need to think of other ways that knowledge can be delivered, through mobile phones, or through personal trainers and older people’s clubs.’"

Optimum:
"We can provide seminars for your club including nutrition, training and injury prevention."

My holding in SSE is doing absolutely fine.

I have held them for several years and added along the way "drip feeding" every few months and enjoyed several years of excellent dividend income.

How is the valuation of your TLY holding these days?

Green brook healthcare not doing so good either, seems the competition are falling like flies.

Less competition increased rates.

Last week the share price fell 10%, over the last 4 weeks it has fallen 35% and over the past full year 47%.

Eicchi Hiromitsu indicator is still negative for TLY with entry point at 32.02p to 32.45p. I am holding out till then before I make any speculative purchases of TLY shares just on the off chance TLY manage to turn things around at Vocare and report a small profit in spring of 2018.

Where TLY are:

"New guidance this year for the commissioning of integrated urgent care services by the NHS will make them even more important."

"At present, the clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) that award contracts for the NHS can put out to tender each of the 111 helpline, urgent care and out-of hours GP services separately, which usually results in different providers for each service.

Going forward, CCGs have to tender for Integrated Urgent Care Services and therefore a single organisation will be able to provide all three services."

savage/Pug,

The £2m and 10% was a guess..
If you had checked the ACTUAL price of the property sold in June and not looked at historical values within accounts, you would have realised why I said you're guessing...

The 'historic' figure in the report shows 'held for sale' not the actual sale price achieved in June. It's historic because it relates to fy2017.

It is simple to find out the sale price... as Pug seems to suggest he knows about commercial property by mentioning Savilles, I'm surprised he didn't post the actual sale price...

So let's enlighten you:

Firsly, The Land Registry shows property was sold for £2.455m, so the actual yield is 8.1%.. again, as you say you know nothing about commercial yields, yields 7-10% are not uncommon...

Check Land Registry:

Secondly, the property was LEASEHOLD not FREEHOLD, as would normally be the case with office units on a retail/office site... therefore, Vocare would be bound by covenants set within their lease terms...

Thirdly, sale and leaseback is common with Commercial companies... as it makes commercial sense...

Now, savage, you say you work for a clinical company aimed at improving Patient Outcomes on key clinical conditions...
So you would know and appreciate the work TLY have done in this area? You would know about SDM and how it's part of NHS England's plans..

So, why not discuss the health system?... whether TLY and NHS are (or are not, as both views are important and welcome) moving in the right direction to tackle the underlying problems...

As you work for a company aimed at improving clinical outcomes, do you see the lack of GP appts, pressures on A&E and hospital bed blocking as problems areas which need addressing? .. How should they be addressed?

For information.

The competition as it stands.

The Directors believe that Vocare is one of only a few companies in its field operating on a national basis. The other companies include Care UK, The Hurley Group, Virgin Care and Greenbrook Healthcare.
