Maybe they'll say they won't let people leave, hence why it's increasing, quick, phone Social Services someone!

So growth is slowing!...Maybe Hale Country Club is another bow to Mouldings rather conceited nature albeit on very little substance!

From the 2020 annual report (~pg 19)

By the end of the year (2020), THG employed over 10,000 people, with more than 3000 new opportunities in 2020.

This implies they have shed a significant number of jobs since the end of 2020.

This article sums up the share price, for any other company the last results would have been received very well.
But due to how MM has played it, sentiment is against anything the company does.
MM is fixing the problems, and sentiment will change, then share price will rise to where it should be for the performance and growth stated in the last update.

But that's investing, I am sure some invest in companies on a promise with little or no revenue that has market cap value of a billion or more.
What investment is the bigger risk???

Online retailer The Hut Group (THG) has received a major boost after its plans to extend and refurbish a country club and spa were lined up for approval.

THG acquired Hale Country Club & Spa (HCC) in Timperley in 2016, with it becoming a focal point for its Myprotein and Lookfantastic brands.

Located in the heart of the countryside, HCC includes a gym and spa and bar and restaurant.

Now THG is seeking planning permission to extend the existing building and erect a new pavilion, pergola, servery and toilet facility within the South Terrace.

It is also proposed to extend the existing car park and revise the existing internal access road together with associated landscaping.

An extended bar and restaurant area is also planned, with a single storey extension to the north and east of the existing building envisaged to accommodate this.

The ground floor would also be reconfigured and alterations made to the building entrance to address the pedestrian access from the car park.

In an officer's report prepared for a meeting of Trafford Council's planning and development management committee, officials have recommended the plans for approval with conditions.

This is despite the application receiving letters of representation from seven different addresses raising concern and objection to the proposal. The main concerns relate to residential amenity, highways and ecology.

However, officials said in the report that the proposal would "constitute appropriate development within the Green Belt and would not result in any harm to its openness".

Trafford planners will discuss the application at a meeting next Thursday (10 February).

You weren’t aware they are recruiting. So you don’t even read trading updates or even go on their website
Think we can discount you as a serious investor

Hence why their margins are fast diminishing and before they start disclosing losses in future Ham!...But fair point Marekq, I wasnt aware that the number of staff had been increasing.

hamham some of the posts beg belief, one area they won't need extra staff for is packing as they have AI for that. On busy days they were processing 1 million orders a day :)

Although I have heard their robot retention rate is very poor and the robots are in the process of starting the first ever robot union. This negative press will obviously impact on share price and trigger mass protest as no body likes robot slavery :)

If you cant beat them join ROFL :)

Well if their sales are increasing by 25% per year or more, year after year, then yes their staff levels will be increasing.
No amount of productivity increases could cover those revenue increases.
Hence extra staff, hence the job adverts.
