Otherwise they will be firing staff, workforces cost money!

MM could improve margins by slowing the pace of acquisition and focus on existing brands, several businesses bought in 2021, slow down and bed them in rather than revenue. You gotta learn to walk before you run!

Forget about EBITDA this company need to be making decent profits on a market cap of £1.4 billion of at least £500 million pre tax.

If the forecasts dont match that the share price needs to fall far lower imo.

Bookbroker, this company was value (on paper) at 200. Why has it fallen almost 50% from there. The market doesn't expect that the environment will be right for owning it. You have to decide if the market is wrong and with everything that's going on, THG will be able to generate the revenue and maintain their margins. Pretty unlikely if you ask me. Doesn't mean it's not undervalued but there are a lot of bargains on the market at the moment and spending powder on a company with a looney CEO is suboptimal.

No reason Lonrho, just that prices have to fall to such a point that investors finally sense value. Valuations always overshoot, but this company still to appoint a non-exec. chairman. Why has there been no news as whether headhunters even on the case

It's hard to see how this can be valued at less than 1.5 billion and ocado with equally poor short term profitability can be valued at 10 billion.

Don't listen to bdml he is the only investor on THE PLANET that gets a hard on when his the shares that he has purchesed with his hard earned money goes down. He is a weird one and one to avoid :)

bob I don't come here to report what my daily trading and positions are. I come here because you entertain me like a clown. It's cheaper and safer than booking a clown to come to my house. It's like playing a PC game with an NPC who is a real person but is less intelligent - it's amusing.

Read RBC analysis Ingenuity 4.5 billion valuation in 5 years EBITDA at 60%. SoftBank will not walk away from the deal

careful, my view is if you've bought in (small), then hold. Hopefully, because it's small it won't add too much risk to your portfolio. The risk with this is high. Personally, I don't need the YOLO stocks and this falls in this category. Only way you can plunge money is blind trust in the company and a conviction that the market is very wrong. As we've seen, the market isn't wrong - it just figures things out a few weeks before they become blatantly obvious.

Is there hope here.
Trading statement was not that bad.
increasing business.

What am I missing?

I know the boss is a rogue, but the eyes are on him now, he will have to mend his ways.
Is this a worthwhile contrarian punt, high risk?

bldm has 10,000s of shares and told everyone that THG fair value was 79p back in January when THG was trading at 2.30

Here comes the punch line 'he didn't listen to his own advice and instead of selling and buying back in at the lower rate, he kept his shares, what a bellend!!

Even worse he is now running around with a hard-on telling everyone how he called it even though he is sitting on tens of thousands of pounds of paper losses.

Weird fella, very strange and very sad.

There are bad investors and then there is bdlm who is just an oddball :)
