03/2/2022 14:16 | bldm the only invester on the planet to get a hard on when his investments go down, just plane weird lol On a serious note the drop today on such low volume is crazy and can only be linked to wider sentiment ie interest hike, energy hike. Interest hike will lead to increased wages and engery hike will lead to increased running costs. It's a good job THG's new AI workforce are on fixed rates and can work in the dark. More forward thinking by MM and the team? Watch this video it is very interesting, 10 robots use less electricity than a vacuum cleaner. | ![]() billionarebob

03/2/2022 13:52 | The adjusted EBITDA margin they keep referring. Looking at last years accounts they stripped out a load of "exceptionals" and even worse they add back £14m of lease depreciation and ignore the rental cost (£17m). Before IFRS 16 that rental cost would be in EBITDA. The real EBITDA margins are lower than what they quote. Of course it all comes out when you look at the cash flow - The FCF(op cash flow less capex and rentals) is negative (-120m in FY20). There will be even more squeeze on margins in '22. I don't see how this group generates any meaningful cash in the next 5 years. | ![]() mrsimmons

03/2/2022 12:43 | @pre it's not spam when it's a discussion board on a retail company. Although energy cost rising is bad for most sectors. That £700 that goes into bills does NOT go into makeup and cosmetics. Everything that THG sells is supplementary, strictly not necessary. Don't know what MM was smoking when he said consumers won't cut down on his products during the call. So what happens when revenues and margins get destroyed... Damn Bob, you've lost £8000 just today and over £30,000 so far. I told you when it was above 200 that it's not looking good...you didn't listen like you aren't listening now. | ![]() bldm

03/2/2022 11:53 | SKY newes: Millions face average £693 energy bill hike as Ofgem increases price cap People on default tariffs paying by direct debit will see an average increase of £693 from £1,277 to £1,971 per year, energy regulator Ofgem has announced. Prepayment customers will see an increase of £708 from £1,309 to £2,017 per year. As predicted, the rise has nudged above 50% (54% to be exact). The move will affect 22 million households and will come into force from 1 April. Ofgem said it acknowledged the change will be "extremely worrying for many people" and those unable to pay their energy bill should contact their supplier. The energy regulator said the increase has been driven by a record rise in global gas prices over the last six months, with wholesale prices quadrupling in the last year. It will tomorrow announce further measures to "help the energy market weather future volatility" so that "risks are not inappropriately passed on to consumers". This could include enabling Ofgem to update the price cap more frequently than once in every six months in exceptional circumstances so it still reflects the true cost of supplying energy. | ![]() debsdowner
