30/6/2008 10:34 | At half-year end ART shareholder funds stood at £20.9M. Even if trading losses for the full year amounted to less than £2M and land bank/investment property assets were written down by about 25%, ART could still be a good investment at current market price. | shawzie
27/6/2008 19:59 | Buying new Art stock is gambling, buying more Art stock means you have a gambling mind....if thats you, stop, and have a word with yourself. | whyoy
26/6/2008 13:38 | Nothing more silly than "averaging down". OK, perhaps some of the New Labour's laws are more silly but thats another matter. If you havent got anything you may try to buy now, but if you have already lost lots, why increase the risk ??? | nicedude1976
23/6/2008 15:29 | My sympathies to any holders, this is looking bad. I (unusually for once) sold last year £21k worth after it broke into a very small profit. I needed to sell and although I could foresee harder times for builders even then I reckoned I would have been better to have held. Wrong. Question is how many folk are averaging down because this price must be an all time low? Does the company have a future cos if they have they have said zilch to investors. Thoughts anyone? | stud-muffin
13/6/2008 14:44 | Over the past twelve months Barratt share price has FALLEN by more than 90% and Taylor Wimpey by more than 80%. In comparison ART has fallen about 75%. Perhaps, if cash is made available by RBS, now is a good time for ART to start looking again at purchasing appropriate assets to enlarge the company. A merger or takeover could be paid partly or in whole by shares, thus conserving cash. | shawzie
13/6/2008 11:48 | Trouble is they're all bouncing, where this is still sinking ! | bsg
13/6/2008 09:33 | Fall in ART share price in line with sector - no worse than Taylor Wimpey or Barratt. | shawzie
12/6/2008 22:28 | Jim, he certainly does not have the support of the marketiers. Why would he want his company displayed as a dead duck for all to see? Surely, its the damage limitation and self preservation phase. Lets see what happens around this 2003 low level....me thinks about now, the boss will be getting phone calls from those 'friends' who invested back then! | whyoy
11/6/2008 20:29 | Gizzamodo, if the chairman has the money, which he proberably has, would he want to take it private?. | jim22
11/6/2008 12:00 | Worst investment I ever made back in 2001 I think it was. | gjabrj
11/6/2008 11:57 | Would make sense Gizz......what else is left? Just a matter of time IMO. Surprised theres been no announcments, unless there has?? | whyoy
11/6/2008 11:43 | If ever the time was right to take this private this is it. Surely the chairman could raise the money given he holds close to 30% anyway. Any thoughts ? | gizzimodo

03/6/2008 12:21 | 1 Year after Bryan Pearce died his paintings have all of a sudden started to go through the roof, estimates at a recent auction for two paintings were 8k and 12k respectively, they fetched 28K and 38K ! Now Joan Gillchrest passed away in January, her work is slowly drying up, wonder which way thats going to go ? sVendy A new name to be taken seriously is a guy called Andrew Giddens, work collected by Sir Tim Rice none the less. | sven2006
