Anything that sounds too good to be true usually is, definately seems like a scam to me.

From ARTs website:

"The largest shareholder is Aspen Finance (Michael Stevens – Chairman) with 2,422,908 Ordinary shares of 20p each representing 29.5% as at January 2007."

"There are no other large shareholdings as at January 2007."

Unless Aspen is planning another coup on our shares...there are no other large shareholdings since Jan & none have been announced (except Barclays - nominee accounts I think - and their percentage has dropped).

So I would say avoid these people like the plague - there is some sort of scam going on here.

"Supposedly they need 10% to gain a 51% controlling share."

Then they have 41%.
If that is the case then they must have notified the company of their interest.
Anyone spot any notifications recently?
Besides aren't there rules about declaring intentions once you hold a 30% stake?

Stinks of a scam if you ask me.

What patents?

There wasn't a name given as the people who phoned said they were working for a client. As Dave79 said I think they want ART's patents.

Can you remember the name of the firm or its client.

They can have my 5000 for £3.5.

gjabrj nothing exact but between £3 & £8, bit of a wide spread and once they succeed the remaining shares will be worthless, their comment, trying to put the frightners on to persuede one to sell.

Think it has to be a scam as they only want ART's patents, not sure that they have any, also possibly shareholders details for whatever reason. Supposedly they need 10% to gain a 51% controlling share.

I have just received a call from a company, who say's they are acting on behalf of a client and this client is considering a takeover of the company, they say they are contacting all shareholders to find out if they are interested in selling their shares, but want proof of their shareholdings, anyone else had a call?

Has anyone had phone calls from a company offering to buy ART at around double thier price ? The call sounded dodgy to me as offering megabucks if one accepted straight away.

T Trade of 50,000 just reported as a Sell.It it were really a Sell, then the Market Makers must be stocking up for a large Buy order, since all the trades in the past few days have been Sells in the 163-161 range. Inclined to think it was a Buy

Anyone know why todays chart shows the price opening up from 162.5p to 163p, then a hike to 164p shortly after 0900 yet looking at trades:

1. The spread has remained at 160-168 (so 164p in the middle) from 0800 to now.
2. The highest trade today has been 163.04p.

I just can't work out where the graph got its data from to show the movements. Any ideas or is it just broken?

With the new year end of 30/6/7 still some 3 months away, I am not convinced we will be updated much before that point, even if then. ART has already provided an interim update (to Sept06) and a post-interim update (to get the first 9 months broadly covered up to Dec06) so is now right on track towards its first 'new' year end. Does anyone know different? I may have missed something. steve

I hope we get a trading update this week to see how things are progressing. It would also be nice to get an update on major site aquisitions and predicted future unit sales per annum.

Little comment on here these days (maybe no bad thing) but a solid share price trend post consolidation nevertheless bodes well. steve
