Could someone explain why the bid offer prices are so far apart. The current spread is a big disincentive to buyers.

Thats been the story for 7 odd years Gizzi.....its never made sense. The actions of the board have never seemed to be in sync with the share price, leaving a sense of 'whats going on?'
No doubt there will be an announcement soon, which will try to address the drop.
Looks like an organised and controled move down to me, which of course is my opinion only.

This is still a mystery to me .The chairman holds close on 30% piled a huge amount of his own money into this some at well above the current price. He has held for some time now and still the share price struggles - what does he know ?
The NAV but be close on double the current share price

How can it be possible that there is a 10p spread on these between bid and offer?

Surely that is the beauty of an aim listed company - they get away with poor performance then take the company private.

The main point about art is to enjoy it and not tire of its content - whether it be £100 or £1m.

Inheritance doesn't come into it, its about your (and your partner's) enjoyment.

I like art too - perhaps not so much as an investment but certainly as a statement on the wall. Unfortunately I don't know my artists well enough in order to make expensive ( relative ) purchases but I have a few cheaper pieces of around a grand each.

People tend to think of paintings as something to hang onto the wall and to pass onto the children. What happens then is that the children sell them as they are not so attached to the pieces.

Here's a piece about Victor Ganz from ( funnily enough ) Artnet:

I like oil on canvas classical paintings. :O)

WOW they are nice too!

Love the London ones - especially the Underground. Just reminds you of travelling on it.
