Bahamas,that could go one of two ways. Very profitable and covers the gas bill. Or adds to the outstanding payments. 🤔 I think I would ask for payment upfront.

I'm assuming the layoffs will draw a bit more attention to the situation once it gets announced in the local media. It should make it into Kaz oil news, Upstream etc. Hopefully someone at Tethys has already sent them the story.

Just another spanner being thrown in the works. Totally expected it to be honest. Nothing is ever straight forward in Kaz. Too much corruption at all levels.
But you also have to bear in mind that they still want our shares. So the doom and gloom amongst other ploys, perhaps has a part to play in shaking a few holders out. Just my opinion.

Thanks Tankerton, Yeah I cant sell online with HL so need to do it over the phone with them which ive not done before. Just another not very inspiring RNS with more delays and problems with gas and dodgy Kaz partners has made me think it could be time to get out!

Anyone know where its possible to get access to L2/order books on TSX?

It's a matched bargain exchange so price, volumes and ease of trading is dependent on the order book on the day. If it's a high volume day then you will be ok but if you try to sell on a day when only a handful of shares are traded then you are going to get shafted.
In my opinion the potential upside is worth the present frustration.

Some good news tainted with the obvious interference of QazaqGas in the issue of the minutes which holds up the commercial license. The old Kaz Oligarchs don't like it up em.

Tethys Petroleum Corporate Update

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands--(Newsfile Corp. - April 5, 2024) - Tethys Petroleum Limited (TSXV: TPL) ("Tethys" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on the Company's operations in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Regulatory update

Tethys has received the permit from the Ministry of Ecology which will allow for test oil production from the KBD-10 and KBD-11 wells. Production is scheduled to start on April 8th. Regarding the commercial license, the Ministry has not yet issued the official minutes of the Working Group, and the Company is trying to determine the reason for the delay.

Gas Marketing update

The Company has been continuing to work on a resolution with QazaqGaz over the dispute on the payment of gas produced by the Company. We have been unable to come to an agreement and gas production has been shut in. Due to the shutdown of gas production, a significant number of employees may be forced to take a temporary furlough and are at risk of permanent dismissal. Sixteen employees have been put on furlough. In an effort to reduce the number of staff laid off, Seventeen employees have been transferred from TethysAralGas to KulBas in order to assist with the oil production on KBD-10 and KBD-11.
