HL gives me research, live prices, and trading. I find ADVFN's pages too busy. I do use it for the BB's. Would never pay for it though.

I once paid for advfn, lasted about three days before I cancelled, my IG account is the best for information, charts, live prices and the odd bet on the ftse100 :))

I enjoyed level 2 when trading everyday - but now have a portfolio that is much more about long term asset allocation (currently UK builders).

Like TW.

gbh2. ooh. 200 hundred filtered..Not much traffic on this thread then.

I asked why we still get alerts when post id from filtered poster are filtered.

Someone said it is because the sales department of ADVFN quote the number of clicks to justify ad charges.

Just cancelled subs with ADVFN, Google and Hargreaves being such a quality providers of info.

I think ADVFN days business model are numbered.

Bye all. Beer.

Always nice to see what "others" are doing HB, advfn provided a filter to get rid of stalkers, use it and forget them, I had over 200 last time I checked my filtered list :))

99.99% of posters don't care about 99.99% of posts on advfn.

Look, you have encouraged my multi-avatar stalker now.

What point are you making?

Sold a few today.

Probably over represented in my portfolio now.

Will mayb continue to top slice as this has been on afantastic run, and share price will surely not rise so fast in the fiture.

I understand there is still a shortage of housing and a huge immigration problem!

But I want some cash!

Aggree Doyden, I made a good profit on Mining shares 4-5 years ago.

On the belief that the world just HAD to keep digging it faster than the market needed.

Now the core of my 3 funds is all in builders.

We need to build 300k new houses just to keep pace with natural growth.

We are at about 150k - 170k.

Now we have 20,000 new inhabitants / famileys on the way, new living wage that will draw in many new homeowners that qualify for a morage to get on the ladder.

Gov help to buy runs till 2020.

WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE... even upcoming base interest risers.

I have been in for 2-3 years now and making good solid share price increases + some hansom dividends.

Strong month for house prices in August. At £2.02, it looks like TW is on the rise again.

Out at 2.04 for 7% profit. Feels like its walking in sand after two days of gains . Bought SUK Supershort x2 at the same time to hedge my portfolio as it feels a bit toppy. Dow dropped 200 points very quickly .Lots more volatility to come. Couple of downgrades on TW today and interest rate decision in US soon. Hoping to buyback in when it settles down again. Good luck to holders of TW

Background trading holding this back imo, too many shares in circulation to estimate shorting activity.

I agree homeboy. TW has held up pretty well considering the FTSE performance of late. Solid.
