Telford post results next week so the sector could get a boost, that said I fully expect a pull back of the ftse so we may well be stuck in the hands of institutional manipulators for a while !

joemillion- yes, I sonetimes would have done better just holding and not lining the pockets od IGM so much with all the commissions although overnight financing charges are a real ripoff in these days of low interest rates.
Building stocks struggling in last few days but probably just pausing for breath .
have a good weekend sport .

Agree arja. Horses for courses I guess and we all have different trading strategies. I have in the past dipped in and out here on a weekly basis but I would of made much more had I simply bought and held! I now top up along the way when I offload other shares and expect to continue to do so in the medium term at least.

maybe you are right but I find it difficult to predict what might happen tomorrow as UK and all markets are dominated by what happens to the dow. But TW and all building stocks have lovely uptrending charts .

No bloodbath here today and appears to me share price has broadly fallen in line with predictions. Trend will continue upwards and will test £2.50 within a few short months. £2.50 to £3.00 by the year seems to me a realistic possibility and the bigger prize. Whether the share price falls today by the div amount or less or even a farthing more does not appear that important for anyone other then day traders.

n111ndy- I was not quite meaning that but just the fact that the share price dropped about 4p more than the div today . But I trade the stock with CFDs and can jump in and out as no SD . I see the Building stocks down today across the board and following the property stocks which got hit yesterday - markets often fool us ! good luck

PS I'm ever concious of the X4 CGT rule so I choose my selling prices carefully.

arja totally agree, thereby re-investing the div immediately, rather than waiting for the payout in July and then buying at a higher price.

Swings & roundabouts atm, share price lost the price of the dividend and down in line with the rest of the sector imo.

as often happens , best to sell day before it goes ex-div and buy back next day .

Releasing profit is Nothing to do with "Trading" I know of a few folk that wish they'd released profit in SUN prior to the share price dropping by 86% !
