We are not going back to the cycle share price lows or anywhere near - barring something completely leftfield.

Sickly I told you at 21p they were not worth investing in, profits on contracts are to small or non existent this is why companies ultimately go out if business.

One crucial point worth noting.

Starmer and Trump are now in power for 4+years.

The budget wasn't good for HBs.
Trump isn't good for UK. His policies will cause inflationary pressures and lead to higher interest rates for longer.

DVD/Kreature etc,

excellent post. Swearing and obviously clueless.
They obviously rattled and so mention TLY a lot.

Have a look at TLY results today. They have an investor's presentation tomorrow at 11am.

Listen to the investor presentation tomorrow 11am and form your own opinion as to whether to invest. You'll see why the rampers are rattled.

JUG, the move in UK gilts answers your question on this and the wider property sector.

For UK manufacturers that export to the US
life may get a lot tougher.

Bara, absolutely no reason what so ever for today's fall, oversold IMEO, today shows just how mad this world is, how the hell trump got in really does begger belief, I have noticed there were heavy sells in a lot of UK companies this afternoon, investor from across the waters perhaps?

Well I've read persimmons trading statement and it sounds very positive, so I can't see any reason for this drop today, so I think it's a great top up opportunity again, after all nothing has changed here!

gbh2,my kids have all found there own way, none came in to the family business but I always encouraged them to do a job they liked, I never really enjoyed woodwork but at the time I was needed in the family business, I had no aspirations to be rich or have a large business I just expanded as the work increased, until the financial crisis I jogged along quite happily with a handful of staff, then I had the need for a CNC machine which cost over a 100k, which was a huge commitment over 5 years & at the start of the financial crisis & the business snowballed from
there. Tbf I have to much money because the more you have the more you seem to make, Really I should just stick it all in the bank but where is the fun in that, when I pass my kids can do what they want with my money although I've made sure that half will go to my grandkids at various points in there lives.

I'm not as outgoing as I was when my missus was alive, my pensions are a good deal above my spending needs, which leaves me able to play the markets with impunity.

The kids don't need me to leave anything, but Home Care costs permitting, they should get a pretty penny out of the house :)

Long term is my life time & then my kids & grandkids, I've never invested to make a living or top up my living so I suppose its different for me, I buy shares in well ran British companies that I consider cheap, most I keep & some I sell, I have built a reasonable stake in AML in the last few weeks & have bought back half my RR shares for less than I sold them for, at the end of the day its all a bit if fun really, I'm not expecting to make a fortune from AML but I like an Aston Martin & once met William Towns at his house in Warwickshire.

"Long Term" is a phrase that means different things to different people and imo the change occurs as one gets older. For instance when I retired age 50 certain investments were 25 to 30 years, twenty odd years later long term is 3 to 6 months.

That said I have a few tw and lloy ring fenced, when I'm gone the kids can sort those out, meanwhile the cash from the TW shares I sold last ex dividend date has been working elsewhere, trading is a Hobby these days, make a little lose a little, only thing that matters is what's left in the pot to start the new financial year :)

PSN TU wasn't good.

As expected, they been impacted by the Budget increase in NI and lower sales.

Affordability still a major problem.

Why can't people be satisfied with buying & holding for the long term, I've been in since 30p I'm quite with that, then I made nearly 100k seelling some share I bought at 98p & sold sor 1.80,I'm quite happy with the share I bought fo 89p aswell, not to mention my purchase today, you can trade & short as much as you want but I bet with all the dividends that I have made more than any of you, I don't actually need to make anything, the income from the sale of my business brings in more money than I could ever need, I've not used the income from my property or shares for 10 years, well done to the shorters but don't pat your back to hard as I know you probably lose more shortingbthan you make, that's the beuty of owning shares, you don't have to sell any untill your ready, let's see what tomorrow brings.

about to fill 138/139 gap but yield surge may just about to get started and the stock dump in the states may just be about to begin so could be more weakness here before it bounces.
