07/6/2024 15:39 | Aren’t they all liars? | omg48
07/6/2024 10:12 | Jug, and a lot of households just don't have an extra 2K to part with, it all makes for a sad situation to come. Of course if the Cons get back in...how can it get any better. As you said they are all liars. and a country cannot succeed with a lot of incompetent liars in charge :-/ | optomistic
07/6/2024 09:56 | Cupra, I don't think it will take much of a rate drop to move the housing market,I don't think many people give a toss who gets in to power, I don't think that either Labour or Conservative are capable of Running the country, they both Lie! according to Labour they are going to get interest rates down, How? that's the bank of England's job. Conservative biggest mistake was putting Rishi in charge & Hunt as chancellor, I do however agree though that if Labour get in to power it will cost every household 2k a year, you can't give out money when you haven't got money to give! | jugears

06/6/2024 19:33 | Do TW use FirstPort ? I’m having difficulty finding positive reviews on Trustpilot. If you can’t sell your house because of a management company, does that mean your new-build house would be worthless ? Eg this review of FirstPort posted on Trustpilot today : ‘ Rosalie Prever 7 reviews GB Rated 1 out of 5 stars 8 hours ago Disgusted Please, someone, do something about this appalling company. No one in management, including the Managing Director, replies to emails. Issues flagged on helplines and complaints ignored. I cannot sell my property because First Port are incapable of producing simple documents. Date of experience: 27 May 2024 ‘ | kreature

06/6/2024 11:11 | Just wondering if you guys would be interested in the new-build estate management company TustPilot reviews ? Eg FirstPort : ‘ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 5 days Lovely clean and quiet room Date of experience: 01 June 2024 ‘ And just for balance : ‘ Rated 1 out of 5 stars 6 days ago Awful Awful. Never reply. Service from maintenance shocking. £300 a year to have grass cut ? Date of experience: 30 May 2024’ And ‘ Rated 1 out of 5 stars 3 days ago Firstport ,worst property management company This company acknowledge receipt of emails but never reply to them . They hope you give up with enquiries , and just keep paying for services you don't receive . Worst property management company ever , treat residents as a cash cow . No proper invoices provided , just a copy of Excel spreadsheet , with invented services. Terrible Terrible company , shouldn't be allowed to trade . Never buy a property managed by this company , walk away or pay ever increasing invented costs . Date of experience: 03 June 2024’ | kreature
06/6/2024 08:30 | Picked up another 5K this morning, ave still well below current price so now it's just a matter of waiting for Interest rate to drop and sales act accordingly :) | gbh2
06/6/2024 07:35 | Thanatos Abyss I see your name is on that list. | optomistic
06/6/2024 01:06 | They’re beginning to notice on TrustPilot? 5.6.24 ‘ Probably the most annoying about the house is actually the management fees that TW said would disappear when the communal ground was adopted. This never happened and we're all lumbered with pay exaggerated costs - it costs more to manage the cutting of the grass than the actual cutting of the grass! ‘ | kreature
05/6/2024 10:54 | I think one of the problems here is that whichever Party gets in at the election are going to have to bolster this industry. The overall money-go-round of the UK depends on it, not totally of course but it has a massive impact on whether we enter recession or not. Everyone is spouting more houses. Not sure I would buy one now or the ones they are going to have to throw up, but I can't see the handful of big builders doing it at a loss. Interest rates will come down as they are still stifling industry, and the BOE have to be very careful as to not overplay their hand here regard to interest rates. Some more QE I expect. How high TW or low TW will go is just a guess, but if you are in at around the £1 mark taking the divi and investing when the shares are relatively low will generate a compound return that is very hard to beat anywhere. If you are buying at todays value, which I consider midrange, it may be not as appealing. One thing I do know though is that you have to be in a share for you to benefit from any positive rerating, and it does not take many of those events that take shares 4x to change your perspective on things. ( You may if you are lucky get one every decade) | 1carus
05/6/2024 08:48 | Jug,I agree, O/t Vistry may enter Ftse100 tomorrow. I know you’re not a big fan but might see some upside imho. Good luck all | spudders
05/6/2024 08:20 | Good morning all. Nice to see so much positivity again ;-) | tlobs2
05/6/2024 08:14 | Nice to see the ftse 100's most undervalued company rising, £2 is where it should be Spud, I have said many times that once people get used to higher rates buyers will return,Interest rates are still historically very low & although it may delay those at the lower end of the spectrum purchasing, they won't put of buying forever. | jugears
05/6/2024 08:05 | Taylor Wimpey is 2.7p stronger at 152.5p after Berenberg analysts gave the housebuilder a “Buy” recommendation and new target price of 175p. | libertine
