18/6/2020 08:39 | LOL, Game, set, match. | ftir1
18/6/2020 08:35 | Jug, The placing is to take advantage of lower land prices... Therefore they clearly expect property prices to fall... As do I.. | ![]() sikhthetech
18/6/2020 08:33 | "The Company consulted with a number of its major shareholders prior to the Placing and has endeavoured to respect the principles of pre-emption through the allocation process. The Company is pleased by the strong support it has received from new and existing shareholders, including a number of its existing retail shareholders via the Retail Offer."It doesn't put a floor under the price per se but it does suggest there's good underlying institutional support for the shares.Dividend?I don't think they'd of got this away so easily if TW hadn't suggested that it intended to get back to paying generous payouts when circumstances permitted. | ![]() steeplejack
18/6/2020 08:29 | I've taken profit from elsewhere to buy this morning, I expected the offer price to be near 140p but still had the opportunity to to bring in the offer and new shares at around 142p ave. | ![]() gbh2

18/6/2020 08:22 | Is the news this morning normally a good sign for the share? | ![]() russgbinvestments
18/6/2020 08:22 | Again - why? | ![]() imastu pidgitaswell
18/6/2020 08:16 | imastu, Just give it a while, this is going much lower. It was hardly a big give away at 145p, you'll all regret buying at this level. TW. has just "mugged" it's current investors. | ftir1
18/6/2020 08:15 | Lol, great minds..... | ![]() craftyale
18/6/2020 08:15 | Missed the low, in at 144 | ![]() baracuda2
18/6/2020 08:12 | I just did. First tranche. ftir1 - I know that, it can go anywhere. I'm just saying logically, if people will commit £500m+ at 145 in a few hours, it makes it pretty safe to assume more will buy at that price. Why have they (we...) been mugged? | ![]() imastu pidgitaswell
18/6/2020 08:11 | Purchased at the open at 140.7 just a small trade. | ![]() craftyale
18/6/2020 08:10 | You can for less than the placing now | ![]() baracuda2
18/6/2020 08:04 | A placing and directors buying certainly DOES NOT put a floor on the share price! Doh. | ftir1
18/6/2020 08:03 | On the one hand they say they want to take advantage of reduced land values, on the other they say there will be no significant reduction in the price that they can sell their houses. Mmmm... | ![]() raweden
18/6/2020 07:58 | Thanks for the good post. Waiting in the wings for more trades. GLA. | ![]() craftyale
18/6/2020 07:47 | This is the 2nd open offer I've taken up this week and in both, the directors have purchased shares, just a case of how many I get for my cash, distribution is on a first come basis. | ![]() gbh2
18/6/2020 07:44 | Good price and Director buying. Good move. | ![]() inaminute
18/6/2020 07:42 | Ima - great post. Gbh - thanks for comment. | ![]() m4rtinu
18/6/2020 07:36 | I think the dividends will be paid but the special may well be reduced or lost. | ![]() gbh2
18/6/2020 07:35 | I have held this a number of times recently - swing trading it. Most recently not holding as it had gone too high. When I saw this last night I initially hoped it would be an opportunity. But clearly, at 145 price for the placing, it's not, and that has effectively set a floor for the price. Opportunistic of them yes, but all they are doing is taking more cash to make a bigger business - in hindsight had they known about cv19 coming they would not have paid the special dividends and then would not be making the placement, nor making the land purchases. But such is life and having paid the special dividend, all they have really done is get the money back to buy the land, but not with debt (which they would have had if making the same land acquisitions without the placement) but with equity, but at a price that effectively does not dilute. They didn't need to do it, they chose to - they could just not buy the additional land. For a shareholder it strengthens the business hugely. ftir1, why do you think they have been mugged? | ![]() imastu pidgitaswell
18/6/2020 07:24 | I presume a dividend is now out of the question. But for how long? 2 years. Or is that overly pessimistic? | ![]() m4rtinu
18/6/2020 07:20 | You've all been mugged. | ftir1 |
