29/12/2017 21:42 | Yes, Tosca's holdings up from 5.09% to 10.46% Looks like they've been quietly hoovering up shares on a pre-Christmas shopping spree. They obviously think there is value at these levels. Toscafund have history when it comes to shareholder activism, so they might shake things up a bit (or, depending on your perspective, just be a flipping nuisance and a distraction to the management): | septimus quaid
29/12/2017 12:37 | Interesting - Tosca have a large holding in Daisy group. | site manager
29/12/2017 12:13 | quepasa on the premium thread(i'm not a premium subscriber).. well noted regarding tosca fund.. and i could see the buys last week as i commented on the shareprice retesting 150s.. very positive in my view.. and i expect this to recover. i took the oppurtunity to buy heavily in the 130s.. so if this hits £2 again i will be happy. | rajaster
29/12/2017 11:09 | MASSIVE increase in TALKTALK holding by ToscaFund Asset Management released by RNS today. ToscaFund go from 5.09% holding to 10.46% holding. The 10.46% carries full voting rights which makes them potentially an influential shareholder. ToscaFund Asset Management have notified that the combined 10.46% holding is spread amongst several of their funds namely: Tosca SPC, Tosca MidCap, Tosca Pegasus, Tosca Opportunity. One notes with particular interest that ToscaFund AM describe certain of these funds as EVENT-DRIVEN and ACTIVIST EQUITY. In particular: Tosca Opportunity; event-driven concentrated equity fund Pegasus; activist equity return orientated and focused on UK mid caps Tosca Mid Cap; activist equity fund focused in UK mid caps Perhaps interesting times ahead when activist shareholders start taking such a significant stake in TalkTalk. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
22/12/2017 13:31 | Looks like an ii is building a sizeble steak..some bigs orders..and 152 looking on.. Back to the upward range atleast to retest the gap. | rajaster
22/12/2017 10:53 | Ps note the gap down.. Gap downs or ups are normally filled.. I. Expexting the gap at 175 to 180 to be filled soonish..thats a nice swing trade. | rajaster
22/12/2017 09:55 | Watching current level to 152 as resistance, if taken out then i expect 165s. If not then a drop back to mid 130s however looking at the lower time frames there is a new more bullish uptrend showing, so im kind of hoping for a reversal. | rajaster
16/12/2017 12:38 | Sometimes, with a company, it can be useful to look at other (soft) metrics. e.g., I subscribe to glassdoor for the TALK staff comments (as well as other companies I am invested in). Generally, TALK staff seem a fairly contented bunch, although the company can be quite demanding (which, to me as a shareholder, is good news). | septimus quaid
15/12/2017 08:22 | Interim dividend payment due Monday (18/12/17) = 2.5p. To reinvest same seems like lunacy, but at these levels, hmmm? I can absorb a future dividend reduction, if it secures the company's future (and my capital). IMHO, TALK's policy of "growth, cash and EBITDA" is a good, clear, one, especially after the damage done by the Baroness (i.e. paying dividends out of thin air). Unfortunately, this policy probably puts us out to a 12/18 month time-scale for realisation (far too long for the bed-wetters at the LSE). | septimus quaid
11/12/2017 20:26 | Possible (further) dividend cut: www.proactiveinvesto | septimus quaid
11/12/2017 19:07 | Well I'm glad I sold north of £2 | davr0s
11/12/2017 15:52 | Lord knows where the Baroness was getting the money from to pay the dividends, the cover ratio was abysmal | septimus quaid
11/12/2017 14:50 | This will be the next victim of dodgy accounting! | bookbroker
11/12/2017 14:34 | Cheap as chips. Time to buy. Added 18k at £1.39. | joemillion
11/12/2017 13:19 | I see the doom-mongers are out again today: Jefferies International 11/12 Reiterates Underperform Underperform 95.00p I was up in the North East last week (Newcastle area) and there seemed plenty of street based sales staff selling TALK packages. | septimus quaid
07/12/2017 10:17 | Linked to DFX? | septimus quaid
05/12/2017 17:45 | I think this will struggle along for a while until there is more positive news. Q3 results should be out early Feb 18 | septimus quaid
30/11/2017 16:39 | To justify 120pps, you would definitely be looking at further dividend cuts. The present yield of 5.40% is covered 1.02 times | septimus quaid
30/11/2017 15:41 | Two negative broker notes today yet TalkTalk is surging. Perhaps some news about to break...... ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
30/11/2017 15:34 | banked small profit. now will await any further falls, i can see shorts tweaked higher 27th nov and combined with these ratings explains the fall earlier this morning. Historically 130p possible. | cantrememberthis2
30/11/2017 15:26 | Numis and JP Morgan both cutting their targets to 120p by the look of it. So after an initial wobble, the shareprice spikes higher... | 1gw
30/11/2017 11:02 | Bought a few @ 141.4p, this is just taking the p1ss | septimus quaid
30/11/2017 10:20 | fenner my investment motives in talktalk are a little different as i've worked for talktalk before their demerger and was there during it. i've seen the company grow from nothing to where it is now.. i havent worked there now for a long time, hence the lack of research on the competitors side.. my first shares in ttg were from share options which i sold a while back at £3.to me its a sound investment paying a yield with an additional chance of being sold or selling parts of the business e.g. the mobile side. right now the price is madness... and from what i recall its almost as low as the listing price. | rajaster
30/11/2017 09:58 | Going in for some more... Unloved and looking to sell up their Mobile arm... Interesting time! | cantrememberthis2 |
