Rumours that Talk wants to get rid of mobile services this morning - Vodaphone discussions - will this lead to a sale and free up some cash?

Ft article reports that Talktalk is exploring an exit from its mobile operations, after opening talks with other providers over the future of the business.

Change of corporate strategy and to focus on fixed-line broadband.

Good move.

Hopefully just forming a new platform at or about a previous level. The new administration continues to support optimism in my mind. At the least I can't see this stock going under without considerable external interest.

I bought in as I thought it may get in the frame for a takeover - a year back - so it has potential imo.

TALK has looked pretty strong recently in a tough market.

Anyone feel a takeover bid may come now the business appears to be on the mend ?

Share price is still down 50% from May 2015 highs.

Talk: another £100k fine relating to data breach (on top of the £400k fine relating to the breach of Oct 2015).

The £100k relates to the Autumn 2014 breach, so hopefully we are now in a stretch of clear blue water as far as these issues are concerned.

I've done a bit of portfolio rebalancing and just sold most of the ones I bought on 7th April when the price suddenly dipped. At the time I was hoping for a quick bounce back (from the 190p I bought them at), so given the subsequent plunge I am happy to get out from that tranche at a very small profit plus the dividend.

Talktalk remains a top 10 holding for me and I hope it does manage to break back above £2 before long.
