Sorry, my bad. Got confused with another share. GS (Goldman Sachs) definitely not building a stake here. Just lots of private interest today.

Quite a bit of trading volume already so far today. Don't know if it's the Stocko NAP inclusion, or GS continuing to build their stake. Very bullish they had kept buying at the end of last week despite strongly rising prices.

Indeed. The rise so far has been on listed buying volumes, with more interest this share will pop.Wondering if there's a bit of insider trading going on. The sustained rise has been very strong with trades often at the full bid price. Are SYS1 on the cusp of announcing a profit upgrade...

Good to see that this is the NAPS 2022 Stockopedia portfolio. Should possibly push this up tomorrow.

Wasn't the buyback meant to start in Dec? Only a few more days left ?

Certainly looks very strong. Not sure where the company is going to source the shares for the buy back though: the market liquidity is not helping. Perhaps JK will offload a few that he will in turn reacquire when his options vest.

Poised for a bit of a breakout to 400p+. The fact that it's risen nicely and consistently this week on low volumes is encouraging.

Share buybacks starting imminently, now we're in December. Will rocket the share price given the low liquidity here. Expect a few percentage points boost with their first RNS on buybacks.

Quite a chunk bit of shares traded just now. Highest volume in a while, at 320p.

My understanding from a thread on Maynard Patons site is that System1 LLC applied for the System1 trademark in the US but failed (abandoned Apr 2019) and then System1 PLC applied successfully in September 2021.

Picked up more this morning. Love the illiquidity and lack of interest, as in the past two updates this share barely moved on results day before motoring up double digits in the coming week or two. Looks like the same will happen.

Agreed. System1 LLC own the System1.com domain name which shows some precedence - but equally it could just have been a cybersquatted domain when SYS1 were registering.Either way SYS1 do have registered trademarks so it will come down to what trademarks System1 can claim IMO given that term is not used by any of their umbrella businesses

Thanks for the posts Longshanks. The pertinent question is, when did System1 LLC adopt the System1 name - was it 2013? Not that I'm a lawyer, but it would at least give more of a feel for likely success/failure in the case.

Correction: they aren't quite the same.System1 LLC appears more a parent company for lots of web sites linked to marketing. It is the expanding use of the term System1 that appears to be of concern: especially given that will be the name of the listed entity. Whilst SYS1 has a number of US registered trademarks, "SYSTEM1" on its own is only registered in the UK and EU.

8.80 eps in the bag for H1.Way too cheap for a company that is seeing a growth shift to a SaaS model. Also £7.5m net cash.

An interesting conundrum System1 LLC appears to do exactly what System1 PLC do.What is less clear is who applied the name System1 first. BrainJuicer was rebranded as System1 in 2017 whereas if you go to System1.com they claim to have been around since 2013.

Very illiquid share and very quiet board. And not one comment on the trademark infringement case.

The question I have is, is this purely about use of the 'System1' name, or does the case go deeper? What seems to have triggered the infringement claim is System1 (the defendant) is about to list in the US. They have around 300 employees.

Anyone have any thoughts?

On the flip side, the share price will likely go through the roof if institutional shareholders see the real potential and start buying with such illiquidity.

The rise continues! Doesn't take much to get the ask going up; just barely 3k of volume today.Management need to do a bit of a roadshow, get more investor interest, introduce more liquidity. I'd love to buy much much more but also have a very hard and fast rule on maximum position relative to average liquidity.

I've decided to enter here. Their new business model appears very promising and scalable. Kicking myself for not entering a few weeks ago, but still some way to go on the share price if this business model continues to gain momentum. The £1bn aspiration would be nice as that would be a 20 bagger, but time will tell. The founder is a very smart cooky in my view and they are top quartile in their area. I have followed Brainjuicer for many years but always held off buying on price grounds. I think its now different as their new approach is far more profitable and scalable.
