Hazl,

I’m sorry you’re disappointed in me for disliking Twitter, but have not been a fan for a long time & am not going back.

On a lighter note, it’s good news if the professionals are giving some positive feedback

Nobby - Thanks for booting Lith. The minute anyone starts sending out links to twitter profiles, I know they are desperate and talking rubbish - Even with my limited knowledge!

Ah I see this crosses with remarks above by chance.
I think that there are loads of investors waiting in the wings for these that possibly have missed them first time around so this share price will reach a certain level when people cant resist.
The fact that this is going on,in the form it is, means that it is very newsworthy,
even if there are no RNS's expected.

I can assure you everything that lith posted in the last half an hour or so, is complete and utter rubbish. I think anyone who has been reading this thread for a couple of days will know that.

He is history...

You assume that patients will all deteriorate...some will improve with standard therapy (too many variables)

Thats why there is a placebo arm in the trial... some will improve due to 'placebo' effect (psychologic) which improves symptoms even tho you may be drowning!

To early to get a feel for who is on the drug

The sherbet and hulk analogy made me chuckle!!

Squeezed in a top up under 55, didn’t think I would get that a few days ago but today most of my portfolio is getting a kicking!

Interested/excited/nervous to see how this all pans out, I think we will see the price route back up towards 58/59 by 4.30, not that it matters too much.

Put another way,

If all COVID patients in the trial die do you think we will have to wait 8 weeks to unblind the results to see if the drug is successful or not ?

the point remains nothing can leak because no-one will KNOW who is receiving placebo or drug.....

and it could be any 50 of the 100 volunteers who get the drug no matter where they're located , thats one of the reasons why it will take so long to determine the outcome

randomisation does not happen 50/50
could be 3 to 1 or all 4 are one or other (all done through RNG)

tburns,

good post at 2069. i could not agree more.

yes, its common sense and basic maths !

If 10 people are in a 50/50 double blind trial and 75%-100% get a positive result then its pretty bloody obvious what the unblinded results will say so no need to wait.

I would have thought there are other telling bio markers which will indicate if the patient has been getting the drug. For example if the Interferon B level has rocketed in a patient which a placebo would not create.

Well i never expected SNG001 to be compared to sherbet fizzers and the incredible hulk.
Nice analogy flash :0)

Its normally 50/50.

It is absolutely absurd, to say the least, that all 100% could be a placebo as it would make the trial utterly pointless !

The whole point of a double blind trial is to administer both the real drug and a placebo in a 50/50 format then unblind them at the end.

If 75%-100% results are hgood then you already know the results are positive.

That was exactly my argument Lith a couple of days ago and I got shot down. It is common sense that it does NOT matter if the patients who get SNG-001 are blinded, the visible improvement, empirically proven will be noticiable in all vitals, blood samples, pulse, temp, breathing etc taken by the Dr's and nurses.

I really struggle to see why peeps don't recognise the experienced medical professions ability to visibly notice the signs of improvement backed up by empirical data!!
