Hilarious. :o)

I used to give that talk about immunogenicity to medical doctors and if it is any consolation, a lot of them didn't really understand it either!

Also in NCYT & TILS, as well as SNG.
and ORPH!
SNG has the most potential to multibag if the trial is successful! imho

I was just about to mention infliximab is likely down to the CD4 epitope used in those that neutralise the MoAb.

Those bloody CD4 epitopes have alot to answer for.

Lol.

My wife has a cpap machine supplied and maintained by the NHS or her sleep apnea....quite an expensive piece of kit but I suppose if it delays hospital admission they may be considered

Nebulizers are ideal for ill patients that need the drug inside the 'nether' regions of their lungs.

Inhalers are okay but require proper technique by user (when to breath in when to 'spray' etc) Not ideal when people are ill

Happy to discuss by phone if you really are interested. This is one of the two subjects I know most about! Indeed I could send you a presentation I gave all over the world about this precise subject!

I am afraid what you say about fully human being lower immunogenicity is just not true. Again this is one of my expert areas. Adalimumab is fully human but is very immunogenic. Don't look at the label data which is measured using assays which are not fit for purpose. Look up some references by Dr. Gertjan Wolbink from Amsterdam who is an expert in this area and has developed assays which measure the real response to these antibodies. He has shown that adalimumab and other fully human antibodies are very immunogenic. I can dig out some references if you are really interested. I shared a platform with Gertjan on many occasions and he is a brilliant maverick!

Thanks Nobby for your detailed response.
Tiziana will,I’m sure, be testing for anti-id but I’m sure you are aware that tolerance to self antigens (IL6R/IL6 in this case) is the norm except in auto-immune diseases. If their human MoAb binding site is fully complimentary the chance of immunogenicity will be very low. In fact the rate of immunogenicity to therapeutic MoAbs in clinical practice is very low indeed and that to human MoAbs more so.
I do agree with your point on neutralising free IL6. Sufficient is sufficient!
I am invested in SNG, NCYT and TILS.
I see no merit in dampening enthusiasm for any company targeting Covid-19.
Call the comments BS is not fair. Modest over egging maybe!!!
Thanks.

Would never have guessed, Toffeeman. ;o)

If the trials here succeed and for me, there's no reason why not, we'll be recommending SNG to the rest of the world.

I was listening to BBC and it mentioned that Italy had been using CPAP machines pre-ventilator, and were recommending this to other countries. Some may wish to look at RESMED - the world leader (disclosure - I am long Resmed).
