Strange, also on bbc 1,news there is nothing on treatments and at the daily briefings held at about 4 of 5 each day, again the journalists are not asking the medics and Minister
“ we have been told that any vaccine is sometime off, but will there be any treatment in the near future, by way of a drug to help those elderly affected in hospitals, apart from paracetamol”

‘The placing was 10x oversubscribed so I cant see many selling, more likely to be building a position.‘

Not surprised at the price they were offered.

I listen to radio5 non stop in these strange times and have texted in about 10 times about SNG001. I often get texts read out but they have ignored that one so far.

Just a thought, we hear on the BBC, a lot about testing when showing symptoms and even after, we hear talk about a vaccine which is a long way off but we hear nothing on a possible treatment, such as we have here, no one even brings it up as question in the phone ins on say for example Radio 5, I wonder why that is? Sure we get some journalists reporting and medical reporting but nothing on the BBC

A chunk of the placing is EIS and VCT so these hold for 3 years+. The placing was 10x oversubscribed so I cant see many selling, more likely to be building a position.

Very unlikely there will be an RNS on the ongoing trial. However, possible RNSs could be about new agreements which were hinted at in the trial RNS or a change to the COPD trial protocol to allow Covid 19 patients to be part of the trial.

And I expect up first thing but then a pull back to finish flat or slightly up. But who knows really...

I expect we will see an RNS this week. I am adding this morning, it could pull back but think most of the firm placing shares have been sold (only 10m).

Does SNG have termination rights on the conditional placing ?

Me to but can’t see it, I will be in first thing for a top up, expecting next leg up this week. I don’t see placing shares being an issue as already sold so shouldn’t be any overhangs to clear. Times article will generate more interest and always chance of an RNS updating something. We had a few last week that we didn’t expect.

thanks Nobby,

I often get chest infections... sometime ago I had a really bad chest infection and was given azithromycin over an 18 week period. Around a year afterwards I had pneumonia.

I'm wondering whether SNG001 will be a more longer term prevention for people who get viral chest infections..

Azithromycin is an antibiotic and so trying to prevent a secondary bacterial infection. So completely different......

So one thing that document confirms is that the COPD study cannot finish before the Covid 19 trial. That is because the patients are dosed for 2 weeks and then followed up for 4 weeks. The new protocol hasn't even been approved yet so it is impossible for that trial to be completed within 8-10 weeks.

"Phase II trials in patients with asthma have already shown that it enhances the lung’s antiviral defences."

I'm an asthmatic.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between what SNG001 is trying to do and what azithromycin does?

Is it basically similar, ie trying to enhance the lung's antiviral defences?
