26/5/2020 12:36 | I think it is interesting the way the results will now arrive; Hospital Trial - July COPD Trial - July/August Home Trial - August/Sept ?? Anyone buying SNG would conveniently have all the data around the same time. SNG could therefore be fairly valued for all concerned. My main concern for the Hospital trial result was treating the virus at quite a late stage. People have possibly had symptoms for a couple of weeks before they go to hospital and then perhaps 2 or 3 days before they are treated. Nobby's repost of the Frontiers article on inhaled IFN alpha was very encouraging when you looked at the detail. The conclusion was that people recovered about 7 days quicker with IFN treatment. One of the IFN arms reported an average duration before treatment starting of 17 days after symptoms first appeared. They had success at this stage of the disease and the SNG Hospital trial stage will be very similar I would imagine around 17 days. The wisdom seems to be that starting as early as possible will be best so the chances of success in both trials, Hospital and Home seem to stand a good chance. COPD trial I suspect also stands a very good chance of success based on what we already know. And finally I think the LOXL2 inhibitor with Pharmaxis will finally get a deal this Summer. Conclusion - very exciting few months ahead :) | ![]() pdt
26/5/2020 12:28 | So results are a little delayed, my opinion is thats to coincide with home trials, which will show how effective sng can be ig caught and treated early. That to me will send shivers down the spine of all front line workers who can now return to some sort of normality knowing that huge testing and home treatment will keep people from the dreaded second week. All very good and a little longer to wait with confirmation that no funding is required (unlike a lot of speculative bio companies raising money on the back of Covid-19). | sgn001

26/5/2020 12:14 | Just get on with it and no more delays or updates. Ffs. | ![]() dealer55
26/5/2020 12:14 | Imho the seller/s don’t give a toss about Synairgen’s future but simply have millions of placed shares or old stock to shift ASAP. | ![]() wetdream

26/5/2020 11:53 | NG .... Exactly that. The long term significance here is the nebulisers massive potential use in “normal” times. People with chronic respiratory disorders ( of which there are millions and millions worldwide) all day , everyday are suffering as a consequence of viral infection. This is not a specific Covid 19 treatment ! I don’t think people get that. Obviously if effective against Covid, brilliant, but there is so much more on offer here | ![]() peachie 74
26/5/2020 11:49 | Nobby, a negative result in the Covid trial and a positive result in the COPD trial would imho have a negative affect on the share price Many have invested on the back of the Covid result being positive. | ![]() vitec
26/5/2020 11:49 | Or indeed vice versa | ![]() nobbygnome
26/5/2020 11:47 | Yes again as I have said before you could get a negative result in the Covid trial and a positive result in the COPD study. So it definitely is no longer the binary bet it initially appeared to be. | ![]() nobbygnome
26/5/2020 11:44 | Anyone can be clever in hindsight. If the result is negative then the narrative will be "That is why the bigger boys were selling, why did I not see the signals and do the same" a positive result and the narrative will be "all the signs were there that SNG001 would work, why did I sell, why did I not hang on in there, why did I not buy more" Many would want you to think that this is a binary bet between positive and negative result. That is untrue and the application is far more reaching. This at the moment is "you pays your money and takes your choice" well I have chosen to purchase the shares and hold because I genuinely believe that we will get a positive result. Today's RNS has gone right underneath the radar and the wider market has not grasped its signficance. | ![]() vitec
26/5/2020 11:42 | How about front line workers. They could have included them for the home trials as well. So as soon as they show symptoms give it to them and monitor them. Surely they are the ones who are exposed to the virus on a daily basis. | ![]() asif12
26/5/2020 11:39 | Yes as I keep on saying, it will be used for the annual flu epidemic and any other serious viral respiratory illness. Ultimately vulnerable people may be prescribed inhalers to use at the first sign of respiratory symptoms. | ![]() nobbygnome
26/5/2020 11:37 | I think peachie74 also made an interesting observation in that if it works as an anti viral, it would have uses well beyond COVID. Being able to ramp up production to 1m doses by year end is also significant and would be enough drug for the UK and probably beyond. | ![]() waterloo01
26/5/2020 11:32 | Waterloo makes a very good point about it being the only drug being trialed for home use. Again SNG are ahead of the game and will be able to recruit patients easily. Any hospital based drug is really going to struggle to recruit now....unless they go to the US or Brazil! | ![]() nobbygnome
26/5/2020 11:31 | All the same Vitec, the lows here should also attract some new holders, it's probably the pinnacle time to make a choice and win win for newbies. LTHs If you sell now and invest elsewhere expect to pay more to a lot more for re entry further down the line. Im holding as not made the best choices when messing about with other short term opportunities. | slinkyj
26/5/2020 11:30 | Mr Marsden said: 'We are aiming to be in a position to provide millions of doses later this year.' From the mail article | ![]() d1nga
26/5/2020 11:24 | Vitec , I agree. A few weeks ago I played that game, selling and thinking I’ll get a cheaper price. But you just don’t know when some sort of news will drop ( not necessarily the results, but little snippets Upto a buy out ?)and every morning I’d be nervous at 7am hoping I wasn’t going to miss the inevitable rise. So same as you, I’m happy to hold. The sellers who think they are ok now until July have a better nervous disposition than me ! That’s a risky position IMO | ![]() peachie 74
26/5/2020 11:23 | Toffeeman - 29 Apr 2020 - 16:12:46 - 5516 of 7751 Synairgen - a potential cure for Covid 19? - SNG Now I know peeps don't rate charts so if that's you do not read on. I see an almost completed H&S with a target at 50p | ![]() toffeeman
26/5/2020 11:21 | we should get more press coverage soon about todays RNS - so maybe more people will buy | ![]() asif12
26/5/2020 11:20 | Just read the DailyMail article again “We can stop people entering the second phase” “Synairgen aiming to produce millions of units “ Although I wish the share was going higher , that Daily Mail article condenses why I’m a very happy large holder. | ![]() peachie 74
26/5/2020 11:19 | peachie, the fact that the results will not be out until July tells investors/punters they do not need to hold. They can come back in two to three weeks time. I am staying put. | ![]() vitec
26/5/2020 11:15 | This is amazing. Perhaps the biggest issue being missed by sellers is this product is not restrictive to Covid 19. If this works it can be used now on a massive scale but also stock piled for future outbreaks. This was never going to be used at the peak of the pandemic. It’s ongoing use though could be enormous. I cannot believe that on the back of that RNS we are not appreciably higher. | ![]() peachie 74
26/5/2020 11:01 | Wow you did well, wish I had more to pile in rahh! | slinkyj
26/5/2020 11:01 | So many oddities. Some of the 'other' drug companies (thinking TILS) are up, yet they will have massive issues in getting any trials started, let alone enrolled. If early intervention works, it will become the standard of care. | ![]() waterloo01 |
