Last time I looked about 30% was owned by major shareholders. This was broken down between, Lansdowne, Link and Richard Licht.

This reminds of trading places at the end of the film. Everyone selling but someone hoovering up the shares. Why pay a penny over the bid on offer unless you had someone wanting those shares. I am no prophet and do get it wrong but my gut tells me there are background buyers, if not then the share price would surely be a lot lower on the selling that has taken place.

Btw. What is the ratio of private to institutional owners , ie are there many free shares in PI hands ?

Looking at the candlesticks charts for the last few months, the trend (although difficult to appreciate ) has been clear - sell on news.
The seller/s must just be sure they have enough ammunition to stop/ forestall any News-based upward momentum...other than an outright acquisition or licensing deal.
Reminds me a bit of the £ devaluation during Major/Lamont when they had no idea of the amount of money Stacked against them by Soros and friends.
‘Know your enemy’...
All imho.

PS- what are the rules re disclosure of major shareholders as they cross % shares?
If no TR1 from Lansdowne then it surely cannot be them?

Yes Vitec. I need to put my man pants on and stop whinging !

I would just like to know if IIs are the reason for the sells. As no recent RNS I perhaps think they may be a false scapegoat ? Obviously as a large holder I would prefer we could blame an institution, as ultimately there are only so many shares they can sell and it has to stop.

No. Not standard Pis that caused 55p distribution. Too heavy

47.9p price is the average price paid by retail in 2020. Of course, many bought much lower. Many, higher too

Point is, the low buyers are watching profit reduce, and the high buyers are getting squeezed.

Next few days important.

31p is not a call to short or buy. Simply a decent spot to assess IF goes there

There are lots of PI's that purchased at lower prices. They could be locking in profits. There are those frustrated that results are now in July, they are probably leaving. There are those that do not believe there will be any further news until results, they are leaving. The list goes on and on. All of the news points to a positive result but until we have that result no one knows. That uncertainty breeds fear (false evidence appearing real) and compounds the negative emotions and the selling. Positive emotions will lead to "this is the best thing since sliced bread" and everyone will want to buy. It is a cycle and we are on the down turn of that cycle.

31p seems a logical assessment.

Its now trading below the average price paid by retail in 2020 (47.9p)

So a lot of sentiment is only starting to turn neg now really off the 55p distribution

31p wil be a big assessment, not that id buy it

Perhaps we are kidding ourselves and it isn’t Lansdowne ? No RNS so perhaps it is a share PIs are leaving/trading.

This is AIM. It is a casino. We as retail investors are at the bottom of the food chain. As painful as it is we know the share price can change very quickly. Only those trading are really going to be in pain. If you have purchased because you believe that SNG has a part to play in the fight against Covid and has other applications then the share price action as distressing as it is will not last forever. The issue for me and I suspect for a lot of others is when will the "falling knife" stop falling.

Is it just a case of Lansdowne selling down with a plan to buy back in way cheaper before results. It has to be a large single holder in the main driving this down every morning due to multiple 10k trades

I think it is interesting to follow Remdesivir as a route map for the path SNG may follow if the trial is a success;

Once the free doses are used up they move onto commercial terms. It is hinted at in the article that the price could be around $4,000 per treatment. If that is true it is a benchmark for SNG.
