Nobbygnome or any other serious investor If interferon-beta is being used in other countries, can you please tell me - is this being supplied by Synairgen or are they making their own?Sorry if it's a stupid question - I'm just not sure if this is unique to Synairgen, and if it's not, what's to stop other companies in other countries doing the same? I'm invested here - just wish to understand more!

just a matter of time before TPI loses it

but I guess he's got some comedy value

I was soooo sure an RNS was due given the accuracy of the assertions....similar to testing accuracy...guess it was a false positive

The only problem with a vote is that only Premier members can vote down....and you are still losing currently. I haven't voted either way....

Back in The Times today... small piece under the header....🤷🏻

“Huge sales help Boohoo and Asos defy downturn”

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/huge-sales-help-boohoo-and-asos-defy-downturn-wdrsmtnpc

They comment on NOVACYT, then this small piece....

Synairgen, which is trying to develop a treatment for coronavirus, is the next best stock market peroformer, having appreciated by 777 per cent since the beginning of the year.

Thx nobby, a very democratic man

Let's put it to vote, the members of this thread will be the final judges

Thumb down if you want to fire me
Thumb up if you want me to carry sharing my wisdom with you, dear and loyal followers.

Democracy at its best.

Best wishes to Boris, you and I are in serious trouble.
And, knowing the verdict, adieu all, thanks to the 0.000001% that supported me.
PS Final LOL, in strict capitals

Nobby - Since last visiting I see that this has turned into a "the patient investor" forum with lots of discussion revolving around said "contributor" (I use the term lightly!). He/she has been on my filter list for years so I only see blank posts. Don't you have the "power" to ban non-blue posters who post in upper-case (per feedback from one other poster above) and disrupt your board?

As for Boris J - Let's hope he pulls through and gets back to guiding the UK through this very challenging period in the world's history. Thinking of his pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds at this time too. Imagine what she must be going through!

If you were in precautionary IC with a CV-19 diagnosis and you knew about SNG001 would you ask your consultant to try it before you faced the prospect of being ventilated?

Would be nice if Thommies was one of the trial centres - but I am pretty sure they are not.

Nice post on lse board just now..

I suggest that anyone with niggling doubts as to the likelihood of success with SNG001 refer back to this interview with the CEO Richard Marsden 2 weeks back.

Start at 3:43. -

In it he clearly states that SNG001 led to an improved anti-viral response in patients who had not even contracted a virus. Ie. their natural anti-viral response had not been attacked such that, unlike infected patients, their immune system was not starting from that weakened base (from which the scope for improving anti-viral responses with effective treatment is much greater).

He emphasised that their responses were sustained (lasting past 24 hours) and could be seen in otherwise immuno-compromised individuals (such as the elderly, and those whose lung function has halved).

Factor in the extensive list of similar conditions that interferon-beta is known to be effective against, stories in the press that it is being used in other countries, the ramping up of trials globally and the immediately fully subscribed placing to, in part, increase manufacturing capacity... the smoke signals are more than positive.
