For anyone who is familiar with the film 'The 5th element', TPI not swearing here, reminds me of those monsters struggling to maintain their human disguise.

No offence.

I was shopping in Tesco and met a nurse from our local hospital, and she said they randomized 3 patients and they are all much better.... Then they must be on the drug... Selling a kidney to top up tomorrowI did not find this on Twitter so source maybe unreliableBTW TPI now reverting to capital letters, he has been very reserved, but expect the expletives to surface soon, its just he is so desparate to be part of this board.

Ok great thanks!

Sad news about Boris. Fingers crossed he pulls through but it's not looking good. Would interferon beta help when a patient is in ICU?

The following may help explain what this was all about :

We seem to have been included in "XETRA", which is some sort of electronic trading system used by the Frankfurt SE & others.

To get a statistically significant result there will have to be a clear difference. You can find sites on the web where you can do the power calculations and it will give you some idea of the sort of difference you would need to see in a trial of this many patients for it to be significant.

Tpi
There are 20 proposed u k test sites and 20 eea sites so statistical not too bad and randomized double blind placebo controlled, a leak or guess from 1 location is not much use imho. We will know when the trial results are in.

again, statistically, the number of patients treated is so low that I wonder what sort of statistical significance (in one way or the other) we will get at the end of the study? Any thoughts?

having said that, a good leak (even if false) could send the share price into orbit and if quick we would still HUGELY benefit from it, it is only sentiment, within reason and within a time frame.

no of course I do not!!! But NOTHING statistically denies the opposite could happen.
