Why don't Brembo just take them over and shut down a competitor ? Why risk somebody else buying the IP and sorting out the manufacturing process issues ? They should immediately get £390m of orders right ?

(Probably be seen as monopolistic practice and disallowed by Competition Commission etc but according to some on here ST isn't the only competitor so it shouldn't matter right?)

Market Cap : $3bn
Annual Rev : > $3bn p.a.

A lot of new jobs on the website so surely they must be making good progress now and not facing an immediate cash problem.
Every month that goes by without news is good.

This is what "Google AI" says if you ask it "who's brakes are better Surface Transforms or Brembo." The answers it gave shows why the OEM's would want ST to survive.

AI Overview
Learn more
Surface Transforms carbon ceramic brake discs are generally considered to be better than Brembo discs:

Temperature: Surface Transforms discs run cooler than Brembo discs, even when they're smaller in diameter and width.

Durability: Surface Transforms discs are more durable than factory-fit carbon ceramic discs.

Heat conductivity: Surface Transforms discs are up to three times more effective at conducting heat than standard factory-fitted discs.

Weight: Surface Transforms discs are lighter than Brembo discs, which improves handling and driveability.

Performance: Surface Transforms discs offer better performance than Brembo discs.

Driver feel: Surface Transforms discs offer class-leading driver feel.

Lifespan: Surface Transforms discs have a lifespan of between 12,000 and 15,000 track miles.

Surface Transforms discs are made from a Carbon Fibre Reinforced Ceramic (CFRC) material that's produced using a patented process. The carbon fibre is interweaved to form a 3D matrix, which makes the discs stronger and more durable.

The 20 day MA is about to go through the 50 day MA (a sort of Golden Cross)

Note how the (20/50) Death Cross a few months ago seemed to predict the subsequent collapse

Well that’s the Friday crowd out.

If the “next week” crowd leave too (presumably next week) it might get interesting.

Quazie. Yes thats got to be a big risk. In particular, if KJ and the exec team are leading on any rescue deal there has to be a significant risk that they don't get it over the line.

Yeah all very bullish chat but the CEO is still there remember. He crashed this company spectacularly over the last 24 months. The issue was not a lack of investment nor customer orders, but disastrous management of production issues. The buck stops with KJ and I wont reinvest a dime with him in charge. The repeated lack of transparency in RNSs throughout which Bundred takes part blame means you cannot trust this company.

It's looking interesting, but having been badly burned on the drop from 1.5p, I'm waiting to see an official RNS before piling in...

Of course just as you have a vicious spiral down you can have virtuous spiral up.

Maybe word is getting out that OEMs are helping them kick the ball down the road

A veritable Notre Dame of a graph atm!

Let’s hope we can emulate the fine example of rebuilding from apparent catastrophe to gleaming success (current holders position preserved of course)
