Solid day of accumulation for the second day running, 3:1 blue trades and at volumes miles above the usual pitiful levels. Small but appreciable signs of recognition from the investing community but no doubt still hidden from most views.

Difficult to buy easy to sell.

This doesn't feel like the right time to top slice on an engineering company with new orders confirmed, additional orders seemingly assured and director and staff buying. A mining and exploration firm yes, a solid engineering firm moving inline with the prevailing needs of the automotive industry, no.

I am inclined to agree, perhaps next leg up to 60p before the next deal propels us to a quid.

I am sure that many will be tempted to top slice, but my experience of stocks like this is that this is just the start of the re-rate. With directors buying and new contract announcements expected, I won't be selling any for a while.

I would expect to see sellers at 50p so I think this may prove a strong resistance level. It is however great to hit this landmark.

Well it was at 50p but then I decided to top up and the price falls back. Typical !!

A historic day - the shares at back at 50p - the price I subscribed for in Dec 2000 ! Onwards and upwards...

Maybe Rivaldo - last week's Mellobash review board (which didn't actually get round to reviewing ST!) have taken a look now and are having a dabble ahead of October's meeting? One of them was John Warren of Tellworth Investors - I was waiting to see what he made of ST - thinking surely this will turn his head! All pure speculation on my part. Fils

Great volumes today with getting towards £500,000 of shares traded, and buying at the full 47.4p offer before the close. Perhaps this indicates some heavy hitters starting to buy in to the story now.

I feel like my post at 6.32hrs this morning was the literary equivalent of lighting the blue touch paper on this board. The first out of the gate in October 2020. Yes Longshanks I acknowledge the possibility of a more material OEM3 contract announcement - but I was thinking that we have past form of a OEM1 contract effectively roaring in left field at the end of Q3 for delivery Q4, What a nice little fillip a repeat would give to 2020 revenues. I wasn't so much thinking total revenue but more the boost for short term revenue.
Re: KW I can't remember meeting her at the Capital Markets Day on the 30th October last year. Do tell Longshanks were you monopolising her time!
Feels like interest in ST is just going to build and build from here. As DB said in a Director's Talk interview entitled - An astonishing 6 weeks .... - "the Covid-19 storm will pass" - yes it will pass David and at some point Covid-19 will be old news just as the newstream from some great UK manufacturing companies is going to ramp up.
Tonight the steam room and sauna at a gym I attend were back open for the first time since lockdown. Everything seems to be looking up. Fils

I agree your analysis Rivaldo-if DB doesn’t sell some or all of the option stock, there can be no other conclusion.Im very bullish as always on this one

Very encouraging.

Also, when it comes to KW. She, as anyone that has met her will attest, brings a lot more to ST than the role of HSE&Q manager suggests.

Today's three RNSs tell us:

- DB has exercised 300,000 options at 8.3p (costing almost £25k) without selling any of the resulting shares. We can deduce that he's expecting the share price to go up at some future point, so wants to minimise the income tax charge which is payable immediately on the profit after such an exercise
- the CFO, usually the poorest paid Board member, has bought another 20,000 shares at around these new highs at 46p
- and even the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Manager has joined in, buying 32,608 shares at 46p!

News flow may not be within the next week or two therefore, but the signals from the Board would seem pretty clear!

Right, someuwin, and has been flagged for three months. What a gift that was pre-OEM8!

This tweet passed the wires a few days ago:

”#SCE Honda pulling out of F1 to focus on EV technology. Good news for CC brake producers SCE and Brembo. Maybe we'll all be watching Formula E in the next few years“

Contracts (plural) in next 6 months makes this a no-brainer imo.

"...The Company continues to expect to announce further contract awards over the next six months."

Absolutely Condom2.

As per the interim results, I love this comment:

"The Company believes that it is not commercially appropriate to provide further details of these projects in advance of contract award, but does note that whilst the Covid 19 lockdown has impacted almost all project timings and start of production (SOP), the implications of which have previously been disclosed, the tests are validating the superior performance of Surface Transforms' discs across a range of key measures." [emphasis added by me]
