14/9/2020 12:41 | Longshanks-What is your favourite OMD SONG? | balcony
14/9/2020 11:43 | It is unlikely to be Porsche, Audi or any other German or British OEM as they already have well established relationships with six OEMs in these countries and have allocated numbers. OEM8 will most likely be from a different country and probably a different continent. | longshanks
14/9/2020 11:36 | Could Porsche be a possibility? The new GT4 is due this year but there's an RS version coming later, although unlikely to be so many made. There are so many successful product lines in Porsche, including the all electric Taycan, that they at least have the demand and capacity to warrant this size of order (although I doubt that it is Porsche) | cheese666
14/9/2020 11:14 | So the deal is estimated at £8m a year for three years. If they charge £2k per 4 wheels that makes 4000 cars a year and if it's £1k per car then 8000 per year. So which high performance cars sell between 4000 and 8000 units a year? | toffeeman
14/9/2020 11:10 | Well done longs! | chesty1
14/9/2020 11:08 | LOL longshanks - I gave you a thumbs up :) | toffeeman
14/9/2020 11:06 | you were already here, Tigger | longshanks
14/9/2020 11:01 | If it were Tesla it would be for a relaunched roadster, but I thought that was due out this calendar year. | toffeeman
14/9/2020 10:59 | amt, With or without Tesla I don't think your price target looks unreasonable now. When I saw the announcement I assumed it was going to open a lot higher than it did. It opened with only a marginal increase in MC that imo doesn't reflect the news. Looking at the chart I don't see that the announcement was already in the price. | geko5trade
14/9/2020 10:41 | Yes that would be exciting to get Tesla with role out into their future models. Would help my 2 quid target price come sooner. | amt
14/9/2020 10:40 | shhhhh Timbo | longshanks
14/9/2020 10:37 | They told investors in (at least) one of the recent meetings, that there had been significant interest in using them in EVs, so could OEM8 be Tesla, looking to use the discs for its new Roadster? | timbo003
14/9/2020 10:15 | I was disappointed not to see them as an option on the Yaris GR which is after all a homologation special - the WRC car could certainly use them. | supernumerary
14/9/2020 10:10 | I really doubt it will be BMW - they are umbilically linked to SGL (Brembo). Likewise it is unlikely to be Ferrari or Lamborghini. I think those would be the only three names, DB would have on his list of companies they are not working with. | longshanks
14/9/2020 10:05 | Could it be BMW. They're launching their new M3 and M3 touting in 21? BMW have had a reputation for poor brakes on their performance models. | cheese666
14/9/2020 09:50 | next stop appears to be 60. | toffeeman
14/9/2020 09:46 | disappointed to find my holding isn;t as big as i thought it was! still- +102% from purchase is not to shabby. | lfc4ever
14/9/2020 09:42 | Net profitability now anticipated in 2021 according to FinnCap. If we get another deal of this type in the near future, we can perhaps expect dividends in 2022. Fancy that. | longshanks
14/9/2020 09:27 | Yes I hope for more than that as well, Seen many false dawns over the years here. Hopefully we are finally "taking off". | regandharry5
14/9/2020 08:58 | Well I hope it isn't the kiss of death for you but I had some of these from way back and increased my holding today. I really think this is a transformational announcement. In the past my only concern was that they might not be able to grow quickly enough and get enough traction (forgive!) in the market. It has been quite a slow burn but I think this is it. I also like the chart and think this is likely to break up into an upward trend. We'll see! | geko5trade
14/9/2020 08:57 | fwiw (not a lot) my guesses are 7 = Nissan 8 = Toyota | toffeeman
14/9/2020 08:35 | I wonder what the next rabbit will be out of DB's jacket!! Well done all he team for putting their money where their mouths are - Now they will reap their justified rewards and help enrich the private shareholders who have supported the company through their development stages. Let us just forget brokers notes and wait for our product superiority to be reflected in both the revenue and bottom lines. I have never been more confident (hope I do not have to eat my words!!) , Also remember we are very well placed to grab a large share of the electric car market (weigh advantages) Only risk could be we sell out too early. | pugugly
14/9/2020 08:15 | So not only a new OEM customer and a very large contract win, but: - it's on an accelerated timeline so will impact quickly - current year sales will also be above expectations - and more contract wins are apparently on the way: "we look forward to further extending our relationship with this major new customer and making further contract announcements with both OEM 8 and other, existing and new, customers." No idea who OEM8 are, but I assume this is not an electric vehicle as presumably SCE would have said so? I think that the day SCE announce a contract win for an electric vehicle then things will get even more interesting..... | rivaldo |
