It had been a very unusual and long six months since Spectra had given us any news about the new contract. However, the wait was well worth it as we were greeted this morning with a lovely mouth-watering contract which enhances earnings significantly over this year and next, and then reports this will lead to further upgrades when the service contract is hopefully announced in early 2025.Spectra Systems has had a good run but did provide us with a period of angst. However, it has grown since February 2021, when Elric featured it after my persuasive charm. Its share price growth from 178p to 260p, marking a robust increase of approximately 46.1%. fft - the effects of the Cartor aquisition have been included in their forecasts since the transaction was announced. The changes in forecasts in today's note are driven by today's contract announcement, however there is quite a bit on the future for fusion.

Does the Zeus note include anything for the cator acquisition? Especially the fusion polymer notes ? Or stamps ?There are a lot of moving parts with SPSY, and all are capable of releasing a contract that isn't in the forecasts or is an improvement.

Looks as if this has hit someones price target, and have a seller, as I thought we would easily be up 20 or 30% today.

Zeus EPS forecast does ha e EPS going down after FY25 of course; that's a bumper year.But don't forget there is residual $4.5m in FY28 and FY29 from these sensors.And then the service contract, recurring yearly revenue, to be signed in Q1-25. Not in Zeus forecast yet. Likely to be low millions a year? So we're all but guaranteed another upgrade to FY25, FY26 EPS once that service contract is signed.

It will be interesting to read the Zeus note; clearly this increase in profit forecasts needs to be ongoing to justify a £3.80 share price .. ...albeit given the management I am reasonably confident that good things will continue to happen going forward

Zeus house broker forecasts updated. Note worth a read, as they have detailed knowledge of how the company works, probably guided by management on the forecasts.FY24 increased to 17.7c, FY25 increased to 37.1c...! Whopping increase, was 20.3c before. (these are fully diluted EPS numbers)Evem taking an average of the two years, and assuming a 17.5x PE, gives a price target of 370p. Way in excess of current share price Zeus have a price target of 380p.(I hold in the Boon Fund)

I suspect a rollover or some sort of transfer. Not sure how it could be done but people trying to shelter potential gains from what is certainly a large increase in the CGT rate coming down the track - fairly quickly I would think

MarcAndrew, I don't know if this is the problem, but you do have to be careful with II. You have to change the currency to US dollars in 'transactions' to see any dividends received in that currency, which will have been the case with the Spectra dividend.
