Thanks. It's a very cyclical sector. Going in to the last downturn net debt was around 4 Billion?, Post IPO, with much lower profitability, so it was unsurprisingly hammered. In a correction thought under 20 as previously posted and bear market around 16. Given the type of % moves SKG is prone to (4-5% daily moves are a regular occurrence) 16 is very much just a ballpark number.

If i remember correctly management were offered these at 17 euro pre ipo and they went to 1.50 euro. Around 2000, when i held, they halved and there was no bid premium at that point. HTH

Excited that quality, if cyclical, companies like this will be available at decent prices. I propose that this already has momentum selling. If I get the time I'll look at what happened to sector profits in 2008 - though I'm not sure which is the best company to use as a model. Potential buy points, in terms of chart support, 1550 and 1300.

Did look as if sub 20 was on the cards. Had a small amount. And yes, it looks anticipation of post cycle peak to me - just best guesstimate.

Sub £20.............jeez........ SMDS results read well..........all historical I guess.......Mondi , IP. et al all having a torrid time.......supply issues aside are the mkts 'guessing' we're past the peak cycle-wise? SMDS's recent acquisitions may with hindsight prove to be ill-timed .......... Sector-wise I'd punt SKG......though I'll wait a tad further ......

SB, if you look what's being hit, it's mainly the cyclicals. That can reverse, if macro and earnings develop more favourably than expectations, I would want a lot of money riding on that more sanguine outlook.

That chart's replicated across a fair whack of stocks at present...........

My average is 21.79, thats before stamp duty and dealing costs. Added some today, however as mentioned previously under 20 would not be a surprise. The market looks as if it's beginning to anticipate the next sector down cycle - just a guesstimate so may be wrong on that.

I got 2168, but it's not in any quantity, so not a big deal. With the volatility here would expect ample other opportunities to open up, unless it's taken out.

Well done, missed that.....possibly an ideal entry point..... (never been able to gauge where we are cycle-wise)......though would like to see a trend reversal....

Another 10% off the share price and their UKX place comes in to focus. May not happen, but worth watching. SMDS is beyond my risk tolerance.

Watching SMDS too ..............though always preferred SKG due to the valuation gap on listing here to peers and the IP interest that was first rumoured in 2015.......Re SMDS their recent spending splurge may prove their undoing.....acquisitions at high multiples.....buying at the top of the cycle ... no idea if we're there yet....but if it proves to be the case then it never pans out well...... Though got to admit SMDS looking tempting too but I'd take a punt here first.....

I added one very small lot, did not quite get to my buy level following that. Only have couple of hundred shares atm, as I'm hoping lower levels become available.

The current share price takes SKG back to October 2017 levels. Now if you go back a further 12 months to 2016, then the price was well below £20. SP peaked at just over £33.

I'm only 23% invested as of this morning, so to say market weakness would suit me, is something of an understatement!. Not comfortable at all being that much in cash.
