28/7/2022 15:15 | I was sure the erudite and long-living members of this board would spot the reference! | lindowcross
28/7/2022 15:04 | Thanks Donald. | medieval blacksmith
28/7/2022 15:01 | On Senior, there are known knowns; these are the things we know we know: that Lone Star had offered £2.00 for the company in June 2021. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know: how would Lone Star have managed the company were its bid to be successful? And will the current board do better over the coming years than Lone Star would have done? But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of the stock market it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult ones. Last summer for example, who would have predicted the war in Ukraine? And what else is coming down the line? | lindowcross
15/7/2022 11:16 | Barclays boosts its recommendation on the engineering components manufacturer to 'overweight' from 'underweight'. "With 2020 trough earnings now firmly behind, restructuring activities completed and delivering run rate savings, 2022 begins a meaningful recovery," says Barclays. | gargoyle2
15/7/2022 07:25 | BARCLAYS RAISES SENIOR PLC TO 'OVERWEIGHT' (UNDERWEIGHT) - PRICE TARGET 183 (137) PENCE | gargoyle2
14/7/2022 12:38 | EI - No I'm not confident either. But I'm in now. What encourages me has been the rise in Melrose.... Touchwood. | netcurtains
14/7/2022 12:29 | Added a small amount, no where near as confident as some of you guys. | essentialinvestor
14/7/2022 12:06 | I'm guessing that we'll get a post-close trading udate tomorrow -- was on Friday 9 July last year and Friday 10 July in 2020. Hoping it will show continued improvement in end markets amd in line (or better than) expectations. | gargoyle2
14/7/2022 09:11 | Another good day by Melrose. Come on Senior - you can do it too. | netcurtains
12/7/2022 10:19 | Melrose doing well so far this morning. Perhaps we'll catch up later in the day? | netcurtains
08/7/2022 10:44 | 48% of sales were in the USA last year (page 128 annualk report). | gargoyle2
08/7/2022 10:40 | Due a better day?. | essentialinvestor
08/7/2022 10:34 | How much SNR stuff is sold/made using US dollars? | netcurtains
08/7/2022 10:22 | FT reporets today that RR. has said it's seeing a recovery in demand for long-haul jets. SNR likely to report the same next week, I hope. | gargoyle2
30/6/2022 11:14 | A bit simplistic to think it's all about covid and Ukraine imo. Inflation, supply chain, potential recession just three of the other factors. | gargoyle2
30/6/2022 09:23 | EI: Well the profits I made on MRO have more than compensated for the fall in SNR. I'll hold SNR for now as I cant see why its all doom and gloom. Really share prices should be going up now as covid19 is becoming history... And Ukraine war is, fundamentally, just another war (sad as it is). | netcurtains
30/6/2022 09:17 | net, MRO has the best management in the sector by a country mile. MRO also laser focused on creating shareholder value. | essentialinvestor
30/6/2022 09:11 | mro strength has been puzzling since its big investor day. its almost as if the mkt had no idea where it is going to earn its money. im fully out of it for now but may take a small bite once again at the gap fill | roguetraderuk
30/6/2022 08:20 | Weirdly most days Melrose has been going UP and senior has been going DOWN. You'd think they would go together. | netcurtains
29/6/2022 18:22 | Thanks Tiger. I have a fair sized holding here and am prepared to wait for the multi-year recovery. There should be a post-close update next week, which should help us understand how they are coping in this inflation/supply chain environment and how quickly the aerospace market is coming back. An 'in line' statement would be a good start. | gargoyle2
29/6/2022 18:01 | GARGOYLE Re Ian King. He has over 600,000 shares BOUGHT From as high as 297p to a low of 48p 209/86/48/117/142 are other purchase prices. This is a long term game. If they say 200 undervalued the company ( the price was 297p and above) pre covid I believe them. I suggest you invest what you can afford and wait. it will come good tiger | castleford tiger
29/6/2022 16:18 | Tiger bought again today. Its only a matter of time. This is clearly not fair value . The market is a mess. Buy and hold it will come right tiger | castleford tiger
29/6/2022 15:21 | still hoping for a pound here. not a tgt just an area id be confident the bid premium is fully out. | roguetraderuk
29/6/2022 15:18 | Back in, small amount. What happened to Tiger, went very quiet, eh. | essentialinvestor |
