On Senior, there are known knowns; these are the things we know we know: that Lone Star had offered £2.00 for the company in June 2021. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know: how would Lone Star have managed the company were its bid to be successful? And will the current board do better over the coming years than Lone Star would have done? But there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don't know we don't know. And if one looks throughout the history of the stock market it is the latter category that tends to be the difficult ones. Last summer for example, who would have predicted the war in Ukraine? And what else is coming down the line?

I'm guessing that we'll get a post-close trading udate tomorrow -- was on Friday 9 July last year and Friday 10 July in 2020. Hoping it will show continued improvement in end markets amd in line (or better than) expectations.

FT reporets today that RR. has said it's seeing a recovery in demand for long-haul jets. SNR likely to report the same next week, I hope.

A bit simplistic to think it's all about covid and Ukraine imo. Inflation, supply chain, potential recession just three of the other factors.

EI: Well the profits I made on MRO have more than compensated for the fall in SNR. I'll hold SNR for now as I cant see why its all doom and gloom.
Really share prices should be going up now as covid19 is becoming history...
And Ukraine war is, fundamentally, just another war (sad as it is).

mro strength has been puzzling since its big investor day. its almost as if the mkt had no idea where it is going to earn its money. im fully out of it for now but may take a small bite once again at the gap fill

Thanks Tiger. I have a fair sized holding here and am prepared to wait for the multi-year recovery. There should be a post-close update next week, which should help us understand how they are coping in this inflation/supply chain environment and how quickly the aerospace market is coming back. An 'in line' statement would be a good start.

He has over 600,000 shares BOUGHT
From as high as 297p to a low of 48p
209/86/48/117/142 are other purchase prices.

This is a long term game.

If they say 200 undervalued the company ( the price was 297p and above) pre covid I believe them.

I suggest you invest what you can afford and wait.
