They released news yesterday regarding contracts so doubt they could have brought anything whilst sitting on that news?

Still no BOD buying, given they rebuffed £2 a share some might consider that odd..

Do you not see Melrose as better risk/reward?.

Particularly as MRO have large exposure to auto as well as civil aerospace.

Added a few back that I sold over 1.46 yesterday, too volatile for me to hold
in any quantity.

Better close to the year, position back in profit.
Whether that lasts is another question!.
Perhaps should have added before Christmas but had neither the courage or conviction.

On a related note (and interesting to me 🤓) - their reported free cash flow has stuck consistently around £50-£60m for the past 12 years, despite the many changes in operations and indeed share price:

Not a holder.

It's interesting - to me at least - that in 1998 SNR's share capital amounted to around 306m shares, and now is around 419m. At that time the share price was similar to today's price, in fact, in July 1998 it was 168p. (the share price collapsed shortly thereafter, I haven't investigated why, but 9/11 and its consequences can't have helped any recovery.) Average turnover in 1997/8/9 was around £500m. I suppose you can't read much into this as companies are like people - changes in size, stature and wealth are difficult to predict. It's reassuring to me though that the share capital has not been hugely increased over the last 23 years or so.

I, too, have wondered whether the directors are "prevented" from buying.

In my speculation, i am wondering whether there might stil be discussions with Lone Star going on. Lone Star can come back with an offer on 24 December, as I understand it. Given that their offer a few months ago was 'subject to due diligence', which was never ghoing to fly as an offer for a public oompany imo, maybe they've spent the last few months doing the DD and will be coming back with a new, unconditional offer soon.. I have no evidence to suspect that's the case -- and it would be pretty difficult to keep that quiet -- but it wouldn't surprise me to see some corporate action over the next few weeks. Maybe that does explain the lack of director buying. Total speculation, but worth considering imo.

has the slide ended?

As for directors buying...... maybe they cannot?

My purchase is but a grain of sand in the indifferent ocean of the London market, nevertheless I have just bought back a portion of the modest tranche I sold in September last year.

Hopefully Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the virus and the vicissitudes of indebted nations will now retire from the stage and we can all move on.

Waiting, in hope. If it doesn't go a bit lower, not a problem as I don't usually chase every penny. If it rises, it's all good I hope.
