Share price back to where it was when the directors last bought (118p in March, just before the bid interest). You would hope the buisness would be in a much better position now than it was then.

At 105-115, that's when you'd want that offer to come knocking again even if you intend to hold, just like last time.

That's a fair alternative point of view, if put rather (and unnecessarily) crudely. It would be good to see the Board embrace that long-term vision with some share buying of their own though.

It's worth re-reading SNR's 22 June bid rejection again imo, which sets out in some detail the reasons for the rejection ==

1) Highly opportunistic, comes at a low point when core markets remain temporarily impacted by Covid-19 fall out [query what is meant by 'temporarily impacted'.. is it the same as 'transitory inflation'? core markets are still being impacetd 6 months later]

2) Does not reflect the anticipated end-market recovery across core Civil Aerospace, Land Vehicle and Power & Energy markets [civil aerospace recovery is still 2-3 years away imo, and assumes that covid and its variants disappear]

3) Fails to recognise Senior's clear strategy to maximise shareholder value and grow the business by focusing on IP-rich fluid conveyance and thermal management technology [hmmm... you mean that strategy that was so well set out at the Capital Markets Day, the day that marked the start of the share price dive?]

4) Still fundamentally undervalues Senior and its future prospects [future future future]

Actually, subject to covid, I'm pretty confident that SNR's share price will be above 200p in 2-3 years. But 200p in the hand is still something the Board should have taken more seriously imo. I can't believe that some of the larger shareholders don't feel the same way -- some large holder is currently selling down, so i think that speaks for itself.

@sooty, early days, not much point to wish for such things at 130pish.

You could be right, CT, but I've heard that used as an excuse for directors not buying many times before. I don't think it's ever been followed by a bid in my experience, but maybe this is a first! Let's hope so.

Directors last bought meaningful amounts in March at 118p. We're not far off that now.
