According to HL, NASDAQ dropped by 2.5% yesterday, yes it dropped but I would hardly call that a "crash"!A bit of wild sensationalism and negative spin on here I think!

stronger cable is the other thing to factor into it . nasdaz futures fell more overnight but looks to me as if it is quite near chart support and might recover soon

Yes i do and NASDAQ crashes nearly 3% today so SMT should also crash this week. I did say i was watching for 1100 to break down with 1000 being tested. Even then i may buy or wait and see what next....NASDAQ CRASHES nearly 3% TODAY...SMT is now in trouble...i remain on sidelines until SMT is cheap to buy..

@Rocketblast - do you actually understand how SMT works? It's price reflects mostly what's going on with the NASDAQ.

Unless you're calling the NASDAQ down 15% this week to 11500, in which case, fair enough.

really suffering today as are PCT and ATT but surely oversold if nasdaq does not tank
from current 135000 level . Yes , chartwise about 1090 is support level but normally
nothing goes down in a straight line . Bond yields not rising this afternoon and I look for a day ttade with CFD today as expect a mini bounce at least .

SMT prob also getting hit on the back of the ARK / Bill Hwang controversy - Tesla I think will suffer in particular as ARK's biggest holding. Cathie Wood's reputation is struggling on a number of fronts - could see more capitulation in the sector on the back of this. Who knows - but the stories around ARK won't be helping tech sentiment at the moment.

Always good to hear a well-argued bear thesis. But balatently obvious attempts to talk the share price down (or up) are simply extremely tedious.

Once 1100 breaks will test 1000. I am waiting to buy in but only at the right price. Tech too high and needs adjusting before moving forward.

you are a bit too pessimistic rocketblast and the nasdaq index will take this one way ot the other and it seems unlikely to tank . Bond yields higher than on friday and

surprised to see it hit 1274 again after yesterday's move before it retreated and especially as nasdaq index has held up well . But ATT and PCT weak as well . let's see what happens when USA physical market opens at 2.30pm

The router and antennae cost $500 and $99 per month Internet connection accessible from anywhere. I'm pretty sure that for a large proportion of one third of the earth's population that currently has no means to access the Internet, that would be an interesting proposition.Certainly Amazon with Project Kuiper, the British and now French state backed One Web, Telesat in Canada, the EU backed Airbus plan, numerous Chinese projects all seem to think that it could be a profitable and efficient way to improve digital infrastructure.Musk is easy to criticise but he is clearly expectionaly driven and will attack the status que in industries that have not face challenge and avoided innovation for years. He also has an uncanny knack of doing it cheaper than anyone else.

Starlink will be a white elephant like others before it (Teledesic, Iridium, Globalstar..). The 1/3 of the world that cannot access the internet cannot afford satellite broadband links or equipment. Still that won't stop the hype until reality dawns upon investors.

Fortunately SMT has other irons in the fire.
