Doesn't appear to be public knowledge. Makes it hard to know how significant stripe is if we don't know how much they hold.

That means 0.7% of SMT's fund valuation is Stripe - I knew that already (valued at around £115m). What I'm interested to know is what % of Stripe SMT holds.

As of January SMT had 0.7%, BG USA 1.9 and BGs Schielllion fund 5.4%...

SAN FRANCISCO & DUBLIN - Stripe, which builds economic infrastructure for the internet, has raised a $600 million (€500 million) funding round at a $95B (€80B) valuation. Primary investors include Allianz X, Axa, Baillie Gifford, Fidelity Management & Research Company, Sequoia Capital, and Ireland's National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA)In terms of BG funds I think the BGUS growth fund has the biggest holding at the moment SMT maybe less, obviously that can and will probably change.Hope that helps.

Stripe, Fintech, Internet payments company. Its an unlisted holding of SMT and Ballie Gifford is a significant investor. Due to IPO this year, valued at $95 billion. Already making profits, potential to be market leader in online sales process.

nasdaq did recover after UK close but it was the dow which keeps rocketing and russell 2000 of course. he

My point is the default of not having a strong view doesn't need to be published. Research is interesting / valid when it had identified a compelling buy or sell story or valuation gap. PMs aren't interested in analysts who sit in front of them talking at length about their hold recommendations in quality firms. Sales teams hate analysts like this with a passion for obvious reasons.

Hold - the fence sitters rating of choice. Like how many US analysts have hold recommendations on Tesla yet their price targets are about 25% of the current stock price. Until they move them up by 100% in a few months' time following no new information from the company. In my book analysts should have two recommendations - buy or sell. I remember seeing portfolio manager's eyes glaze over as a former colleague used to bleat on about the various different parts of Lufthansa... only to conclude after 30 minutes and 40 pages of powerpoint that his rating was a HOLD...

if anyone just holds as think they can see the future , it might be smart to short it with a CFD at times like today and close out later in day as it in effect cuts cost
of holding - just a thought . i find it hard enough to forecast the price next day ( smile ) .nice weekend all
