30/9/2019 15:05 | New cruise ship looks just right for the market. Right size, right quality. Not everyone wishes to cruise on a huge floating city. Feeling more optimistic of the business plan here. Prepared to wait and hold. | careful
30/9/2019 14:54 | Sharebuddy, do us all a favour and try not to crash in the next 12 months.Your no claims bonus is a rising share price | husbod
30/9/2019 14:46 | Just took out Saga car insurance (their standard cover) and it was 30% cheaper than the renewal quote from my current insurer and much wider cover. If my case is not exceptional then we could see a big upturn in the insurance revenues which, together with the new cruiseships and holiday emphasis, plus the new savings plan etc should lead to a growth in profits in the medium term | sharebuddy1
30/9/2019 11:33 | Current FTSE ranking 365. Would not take much to get back in the FTSE 350. | justiceforthemany
26/9/2019 10:39 | There are some strange people around on here, not just those that pop up occasionally either. Cautious7 I'm still curious about what you mean by saying you are a 'true Brit'. Also I think we all have a certain price above or below which we will or won't buy - what is that all about ? ADVFN and its social and antisocial aspects would make a good project for someone at Uni. to study, particularly as people are much less inhibited when they're anonymous. Anonymous + money. Doesn't bode well does it ? | yump
26/9/2019 09:48 | Feel more inclined to agree with Peel Hunt’s analysis than buywell’s very limited view, especially when Saga will have the capital value of their 2 brand new cruise ships on their books shortly and debt will be reducing significantly | sharebuddy1
25/9/2019 10:42 | Some large sells earlier this morning at sub 50p 09:47 - 25/09 Sell 71521 49.50p £35,402.90 09:47 - 25/09 Sell 55457 49.50p £27,451.22 08:30 - 25/09 Sell 40661 49.79p £20,245.11 09:57 - 25/09 Sell 29833 48.83p £14,567.27 08:58 - 25/09 Sell 29000 49.58p £14,378.20 Large trades selling up, mino trades buying. I will not buy above a certain price atm dyor | cautious7
25/9/2019 08:44 | buywell makes it a point to NEVER invest on anything that has a NEGATIVE tangible value per share common sense really | buywell3
25/9/2019 02:32 | Has that anything to do with this thread? | glavey
24/9/2019 21:19 | Saga should capitalise on some juicy holiday promos... | diku
24/9/2019 15:39 | Could Saga benefit from Thomas Cook woes? | rathlindri
24/9/2019 09:23 | If there is a clear incentive for opting for saga insurance products, I.e. 3 year fixed premiums or competitively priced annual quotes I don’t think the brand would prevent take up of their services simply for not wanting to be associated to the brand. The key for saga is giving those in that age group a reason to obtain a comparative quote and to come directly which they appear to have hadn’t some progress with recently | rsivapalan
24/9/2019 00:15 | I normally associate a recommedation by the Fool site as a kiss of death. Below, for once they have posted my thoughts, possibly because they read my mind and/or my posts, lol. They hit the nail about worrying about the 50+ people as not being pigeonholed as in the past as they are more pooter savvy and that has been a fact for a while and this is why the Saga members are getting older. Therefore imo a sell-off o the co would cover some of the loses re those that bought at above one quid and there are many of them. DYOR C7 | cautious7
23/9/2019 13:14 | Has no one wondered why the price of the old boat was not declared? Is it a state secret? TBH, I don't trust the BoD's unless they dig their hands into their pockets and buy shares work at least 100k at 50p-ish that will show me that they were being open and very honest. Otherwise, I'd like Elliott to push for a split The new CEO, they need to give in their notice unless Saga is picking one that is out of a job atm. IMO, Saga was over optimistic re furture and it will be easy for them to blame Brexit and the previous CEO when this one goes, so be careful before you top up!!!! DYOR C7 | cautious7
23/9/2019 11:28 | Unless of course Saga were using their airline. Collapse of Monarch wasn't helpful. I dont think it'll make a big difference either way. | dr biotech
23/9/2019 11:12 | Thomas Cook collapse should help Saga as long as management and the new CEO do their job! A great opportunity to pick up extra business, particularly as a lot of Thomas Cook's customers would have been aged >50 and will now be looking for another 'trusted' and 'old' brand. | justiceforthemany
23/9/2019 11:10 | Eliott needs to get their finger out and push for a split. | cautious7
23/9/2019 08:39 | The BOD here better not be complacent ...tell the shareholders the whole truth and nothing but the truth on trading... | diku
23/9/2019 07:54 | IMO, Saga may benefit from TCG demise DYOR | cautious7
22/9/2019 23:22 | Think the Thomas cook news will be a factor to take into account never believed the Chinese takeover will come to anything they never do ,and our banks can see more profit by letting it go to the wall. Not sure how much competition this will remove but it's one less anyway. | wskill |
