Surely Saga with their fixed deals for 3 years are insulated from this crackdown?

Hi

As expected Saga will get the biggest beating as they recently launched their new ship Saviour ie the 3 year insrance deal, now it looks f/d and profits will be f/d.

I expected the share price to touch 46p but it's surpassed that. I will top up at lower prices now now becasue of this new spanner in the works.

BoD's will have to come up with something different otherwise we may see the share price go below 40p again.

Having stated the above I may take a quick gamble but atm lost what recent confidence I had in these shares.

The holiday sector/ships heavily discounted and with breit woes and now the offical stance property prices are falling, people will feel less secure especially the ship hols Saga market

Tend to agree yump.So some people pay over the average price for insurance. So what. Are the regulators taking into account different levels of cover, different human beings with different claims histories etc etc and above all the absolute need for people to be responsible for their own decisions.Regulators in my line of work have made our lives a misery for almost no good reason other than to justify their own largely pointless existence.

Yes, I expect the share price to go lower when I heard the new re insurance this morning, may top up at lower prices but this impact may not be fully appreciated until early next week as it sinks Saga's so-called golden egg, saviour. So much so for the 3 years insurance.

I think perhaps SAGA has anticipated todays news a while back...hence the changes SAGA have already introduced :-)

does this affect saga specifically?

Seems like there will be new rules going forward.

Don’t think that is Eliott’s style. Sure they can now sell their holding at a reasonable profit but would imagine they want to maximise profits, and when a share is so undervalued, that can only be done by holding for the medium to longer term

What is stopping Eliott from jumping ship and making a tidy profit????
Where would that then leave this fiasco of a BoD's???

Seems like there is now decent support at circa 50p, which is a nice flip as that seemed like the opposite and Saga kept topping out at around that price only a few weeks ago.

The trend is your friend....

Every time it nudges 51, the automatic trades kick in and hit the bid

Given that 51 is such an obvious top from July, I think someone has set their algos to sell at that point

Hopefully when they are done we can make progress
