Great news that Peel Hunt have reiterated their buy rating with a price of 110p. At least one broker is being realistic.

They clearly are not releasing details of price, but looking at cruiseships of similar age and size which are for sale, it looks as if the Saga Sapphire might be worth £15 - 20 million. Of course it could be considerably more.

I concur, diku.
I rang Saga today the shareholder info line i think it's called, always went to voice mail - emailed them yesterday, no resposnses, may be they have all gone on a crusie, lol.

If the directors buy more shares in decent numbers i will add as this will confirm my beleife that they know they are not up to the job and Elliot will ensure VFM to the shareholders that joined in recent times not the poor sods that sat on their hands since the flot of this co

If it is a well known CEO for turning around company fortunes within leisure/insurance sector then market will be pleased...not one of those out of sector lump of wood...who will do endless restructuring of the restructuring...you get my drift...I think a female CEO candidate with contacts within leisure/sports/insurance could do well...eventually to facilitate a takeover...

Thanks Koester, GL.

"Elliot are not stupid" but what is stopping them taking a profit and running?

Anyone have an idea, whisper who the new CEO is going to be and when are we going to find out?

Elliot are not stupid. They must have a plan to make a lot of money, whether simply by share price appreciation or getting the management to take the necessary steps to fulfil the full potential of this hereto underperforming company.

Koester, thanks.
As you may be aware I'm gambling in this stock having stayed out of direct shares for, about 4 years. I'm still making a profit and i think i moved in last week or week before sub 43p inc costs.

I amy sell out at 49/50 but sounds silly but that's me, I want the share price to test the 40p again and I may top up and then sell out at 45/47p I think.

The ships look great. The insurance side, I blame the BoD's for not knowing what they are doing

what I find very encouraging is the recent director buys, top up as in my judgment, they too know in the backs of their minds that they are not up to the task and feel that a break up of the co is not too far away. Indeed, it will be guess work by the BoD's but think about it - if you ran a realtively big comany and was on the BOD's unless you had just a brain cell you too would be aware if you and your chums was up to the job or not and what the alternatives were especially if a head hunter had taken a stake in your co

As always, DYOR

Latest cmc signal states that this should be 54p soon but may retrace a little in short term. All bets off if 40p support does not hold

C7...good luck with your strategy...the discount price offered on cruises might just give a boost to figures in the short term...it would be nice if somebody (passenger or employee) on board from the ship could share the experience of how the cruise is going...any teething problems or all smooth cruising?...
