Have noticed a lot of people not renewing their saga insurance(various forums) as its gone up to much..not necessarily a bad thing as obviously it had become a bad business model. Maybe less customers, less claims and bigger profit margin is the way forward

Thank you very much. My problem is that our cars have been registered in my wife’s name with me as a named driver. She cannot drive any more for medical reasons, so I do not have a no claims record although there has not been a claim this century.

Probably the AA - their quote is just shy of £600 for the same cover.

On edit :- I drive 6,000 miles a year and haven't claimed this century.

All car insurance has unfortunately gone up. Mine is £760 and my son is nearly £1k we have clean licences and no claims records

Which company have you decided to use and what was their quote.
Does it give you the same cover?
I ask as I am about to renew my cover.

Further to - the cruise was very good and the crew / staff exemplary - I'll definitely use them again.

I can't say the same for their car insurance - my policy was £425.80 last year and I've just received a renewal quote of £877.84!

A bit of negotiating brought it down to @£820 - thanks but no thanks.

Orient. I'm sure there are many others as well and you are not alone. One can always buy more and average down.Although there are no 100% guarantees in life, think this has turned the corner.Not long to await until 30th Jan trading update.Eldose has been consistently buying and increasing their % stake in the company.Travel cruise business booming and insurance market has stabilised and turned the corner so expect a breakout if this is confirmed in trading update with positive forward looking statement.Obviously Eldose very confident.

There is a huge resistance point at 150p. However Eldose has been consistently buying around 100k stock per day on average. So when it falls now you can see there is no volume followed by a rise with high volume. The company should be firing on all cylinders now as travel cruise are booming and insurance market has turned the corner IMHO
