Maybe its local council could sponsor a friend for the ancient sad case for an hour or so a week? Bibs and splatter trays come free in some boroughs, I hear.

This hilarious and not so "cleverinvester" shorter, who may perhaps have got burnt previously when Saga shot from these levels to 450p, has never been able to let it go.

So sad to witness. As may well happen again sometime soon ... watch the trend eh?

Underwhelming interims I thought, no one seems to be interested in arm they wanted to sell. Could test 90/100 again.

Insurers face ‘dynamic’; BoE stress test in 2025
Ian Smith in London

The Bank of England plans to run a “dynamic”; stress test for the general insurance sector in 2025 to assess its resilience to a marketwide crisis.

The central bank’s Prudential Regulation Authority, which supervises insurers, said it would be a “significant change from previous exercises and will involve simulating a sequential set of adverse events over a short period of time”. It will consult with the industry about the exercise over the next six months, the PRA said.

The test would assess the solvency, liquidity and risk management of general insurers, which offer policies such as home and motor cover.

When something is strongest the mind fixation changes that it will go on for ever...then comes the abrupt down turn...and the mind fixation changes to back to why sell when market is at its weakest...market set up is a churning machine...

Why sell when the market is at its weakest, the usual mantra is the sale at its strongest.

Hope,

Yes this is my view as well. The cash generation is impressive and will improve year on year from what I can see

I bought a small investment sum looking through the last 18 months. In general terms, Saga Plc does seem cash-generative now. The forecasts seem to indicate an upward movement in cash over the coming years.

The CEO target of £6 in 2026 does seem off the mark. Looking at the RNS, trading, and debt reduction ongoing. If these continue over the next 30 months £6 may happen.

If they reduce the debt, pay the Bond of 150 million next May 2024, and remain profitable. That would be a start and the share price may reflect this next year. The sale of the insurance arm was improbable. Why sell when the market is at its weakest, the usual mantra is the sale at its strongest.

With Saga Plc's future as Roger is 75 and next in line would be Joshua Paul DE HAAN

Post 21685...150p to 450p was on the back of V shape recovery after Covid...every man and his monkey share went up...rates were much lower than...high inflation and delays in supply chain issues started to creep in...oil shot up...then came Russia war still to date...me thinks Sir Roger roger plan eventually will be to split up Insurance and Leisure...timing always the hurdle...

Yes I think from the article if we are looking at a PE ratio of 3.5 for next year and the strong cash and profit growth plus potential of sale of AICL in 6 months time then yes 300 should easily be achieved in 6 months and 220 very soon. But market is strange at the moment

Nice, lets see if we start to see a bounce back to 150-175 area in the coming weeks, for god's sake it went to 450 from around 115 within a year last time, surely with an improved outlook it can get to 300 within 12 months?

Yep did you watch the presentation. Cruise and travel growing very fast indeed. Also minis have pencilled in a pre ratio of 3.5 for 24/25.
They are producing lots of cash and increasing profits quickly
