10/7/2024 15:30 | Tongosti, thanks for your reply mate, you confirmed my thoughts. I think that liquidity could play a big part going forward. Shorters may have a problem closing their positions, if there are no sellers shorts are in trouble. As you point out significant accumulation activity has already taken place with one institution currently sat on 11.1% of S4, our largest shareholder, with 3 institutions holding when last checked 26% of S4. The current total of outstanding shorts stands at 1.7% or 10.2 million shares. This is only the registered shorts, there could be a lot more that currently sit below the 0.50% threshold that aren't disclosed. Interesting times ahead, we've had false dawns before, but based on my gut feeling this rally feels different, whether that's to do with directors purchasing almost £480k worth of shares, I don't know. Time will tell. Only just seen your last post. Further to add, Baron Investments comments on Twitter says that he's back on board S4, and that any good news would see the share price move in a flash 75p - 100p. | ![]() nige co
10/7/2024 14:51 | One point slipped my mind. Don't think there's any meaningful shorting activity here (unless we're talking about Wally's imagination). No one (talking about big money here) in their right minds goes short (in size) a fairly illiquid stock at 95% down. Instead sellers have completely vanished (otherwise 20p predictions would have come to fruition) and all it takes is some half decent news and this should storm out of the gates sharpish without the need of a hand from short covering crowds. On a more broader point S4 tells us again why this game is so so so challenging. The amount of patience required to capture that one rare opportunity is not something most of us are comfortable with. One tries several times the same time fact thesis before -hopefully - getting there. | ![]() tongosti
10/7/2024 14:39 | Nige,That's an excellent point. The length of time is one of the most important factors when assessing the probability of its next leg up (if and when we break out the 61 level). Coupled with significant accumulation activity having taking place this year (a fact not an opinion indicated by price refusing to budge down in light of such volumes) it tells me that if we decide to breakout, the next 20p (equal to current range) should be captured in a short space of time as the first step. No guarantees of course (nothing is in this game) but in my view odds were and remain on the bullish side of the argument. Fingers crossed mate! | ![]() tongosti
10/7/2024 14:34 | Once S4 share price recovers to a fair valuation, SMS will look at an additional listing IMO on the USA Nasdaq where if truth be told S4 Capital should have listed in the first place. | ![]() nige co
10/7/2024 14:13 | smurfy2001, I would have said that the city were never really behind Sorrell and SFOR but it's ok now because at this valuation it looks like Wall Street might be. | ![]() auson1
10/7/2024 13:49 | S4 always divided opinions in the City and when it repeatedly delayed publishing its accounts a couple of years ago, it badly hurt in a reputation. Meanwhile, the business remains lossmaking, although last year’s post-tax loss of £6m was a huge improvement on £161m the prior year. The first quarter looked weak, but the company has consistently said it expects things to be stronger in the second half of the year. Net debt should start to fall as payments for historical acquisitions stop falling due, leaving the company free to buy back more of its shares and potentially initiate a dividend. | smurfy2001
10/7/2024 13:31 | Lets just call out one more lie by everyones favourite SFOR poster. 'wallywoo9 Jul '24 - 13:57 - 11016 of 11022 0 1 0 This has to win awards for the best ramped stock on advfn.' 10/7/2024 11:31 | Tongosti, with S4 Capital currently in a 8 month trading range between 41p - 61p, what does history tell us, once the breakout happens? Does the length of time make any difference to the price action. Coil spring? Will shorts panic buy once share price breaks out above 61p. | ![]() nige co
09/7/2024 17:08 | Wally - remind me again old chap. How come you skipped school altogether? Ta. | ![]() tongosti
09/7/2024 17:04 | Who knows is the short answer but if the last 4 months have anything to say to us is that the current range is between 41 to 62 so anything could happen inside it until we get a breakout. Well, hopefully! | ![]() tongosti
09/7/2024 16:13 | wallywoo, Are you still holding your 58p fictitious short ? | ![]() auson1
09/7/2024 14:46 | A significant market correction is ahead, warning signs are starting to flash🆘Ԃ With increasing concern over narrow market breadth and gains concentrated in a handful of mega-caps, traders are keeping a close eye on correlations. | ![]() ny boy
09/7/2024 14:10 | Wally if the share price does fall to 30p i will be really pleased.i want to add as many as i can. | ![]() sr2day
09/7/2024 13:57 | This has to win awards for the best ramped stock on advfn. You guys sing any rise from the roof tops. Unfortunately, the reality is that S4 are losing cash, issuing 5m new shares every month, and very likely to have bad news when Q2 figures are released. So ramp away. Not many are falling for it. And even I am getting bored of mocking you!! | ![]() wallywoo
09/7/2024 13:15 | Cheers tongosti, More importantly where do you think this pull back will go to ? | ![]() auson1
09/7/2024 12:01 | Hopefully third time lucky chaps! If we break North from here I am looking to add further on the way up. Cheers Nige and Auson and good luck. PS. Do we think we will ever hear from Wally again if this shoots up? | ![]() tongosti
09/7/2024 11:17 | Auson, yes he did mate. | ![]() nige co
09/7/2024 11:11 | tongosti, Thats what happened last time and they shorted it down ! Nige Co, I think he was last seen mocking my last buy at 51p telling me it was under water. | ![]() auson1
09/7/2024 10:59 | Has anyone seen Wally? He normally makes daily appearances, not seen for 6 days, last seen on the quayside having missed the S4 Capital boat heading north. He was waiting on a low tide 20p, current tide 59.63p Lol Nice one Tongosti, we've had some false dawns, but this rally feels different. IMO. | ![]() nige co
09/7/2024 10:56 | Very complicated bottoming process this is proving to be but one needs to put it in the context of heavy accumulation throughout this year. A close > 61 and we should be off to the races. | ![]() tongosti
09/7/2024 08:35 | Market Listing Reforms coming very soon, with the added liquidity S4 will 🚀🚀 Currently valued at fraction of FV. Smart money is moving in, would not even be surprised with a 70p+ finish by COP Friday. In previous articles it did say an announcement within weeks of Labour coming into government. Truly gamechanging. Then we have multiple other major drivers 📈 | ![]() london07
08/7/2024 18:44 | auson (10998 above)is talking nonsense. The RNS disclosures are called PMDR for a reason- Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities. In the cases of the ex directors he mentions they do need to continue to disclose since although they have come off the board they retained their existing Executive positions (see RNS 27 March)and are therefore disclosable. Nothing sinister about this and in fact it gives comfort that S4 ae on top of the listing and disclosure rules. | ![]() cardinal3
