Another case of rewarding the useless people which then upsets the staff the want to keep.It pays to be lazy if you want a nice pay off

Who do these trained aero engine experts get jobs with?
Rolls Royce will almost certainly select those offered the package and look after key staff.

There are two things in play

1 Aviation as a whole for R R

2 Overheads and staff costs, as always the wrong people take up the package because they can get jobs, leaving the guys who didn't have enough to do in first place on the pay roll. The bolt on department.

Some good news today all ,reactions engine, virgin and RR will all be working together on super sonic flights ,this will be just another feather in RR cap,at what point RR get contract to build engines for Reaction engines is another question
RR have been looking at what other use the new reaction engine could be used in our military, with RR getting contract 2 years ago , think they were looking at rockets, missile, drones or even fighter planes , most likely all 4
Reaction engine don’t have to carry liquid air like a typical rocket engine.
A pay load of any rocket engine type vehicle is 40% liquid air
So the missile could be smaller or the fighter jet could travel further
But if you want a reaction engine type vehicle to go faster than Mach 5 you will need liquid air but only for the time you are faster than Mach 5

@triky, could be to do with the virus testing at airports and results within 10 mins; means airlines could potentially fly again without 14 day quarantine coming back, this would bring back maintenance revenue for RR

its already in the article pallys. due to the massive government holding, they will likely provide a bailout as RR also make the engines for the nuclear subs. doubtful they are going bust any time soon

have a look at the july trading statement its going to be just under 60 days old when they report

there figures in twelve days
things are improving from that statement Not getting worse

hxxps://www.rolls-royce.com/~/media/Files/R/Rolls-Royce/documents/investors/h1-trading-update-july-2020.pdf

in my view
Rolls Royce will survive this recession the share price will be going up to 350pence and
450 pence there after

Look att the half glass thats full not the empty one as it will be full soon again

Not sure as to the rights issue could never take place airplanes are resuming there flights around the world short hall and LongHall that means cashflow is coming back
which means the dividend will be back in a year or two as well

in conclusion Rolls Royce is a great company with a great potential which will survive and thrive to be a world class leader
