Bought these puppies yesterday afternoon, after doing a little research.

What I like:

Next set of results should show balance sheet in great shape,
Cash in bank and no debt
Real assets and reserves
Relatively low overheads and costs per barrel
Cash to do deals
Oil and gas producer
North Sea politically safe
Head honcho personally invested
Paying Dividend
Relatively few shares in play
Saudis chairing G20 meeting - chance to sort spat with Russia and moderate production/price.
Enough cash to weather current storm/global crisis

What is there not to like?

Best share play since Dana and where I hoped Parkmead would be by now.

Guys I've got a lot of these shares at significantly higher average price now but we have to look at de comm cash needed to be set aside plus possible length of this price war.
There is a (possibly short sighted) argument at T20 that low oil prices will aid recovery post pandemic so don't assume there will be significant efforts to shore up oil price in the short to medium term.
That said I do feel more comfortable holding these than I did yesterday lol.

Lots of cheap shares at the moment, don't need to be a genius to work out this share is worth at least 2000p but is sitting at 700p.

Maybe... doesn't do away with the fact that Rockrose is currently valued 3/4 times lower than it's cash! Cash..not assets etc... Cash!! Currently buying 20 pound notes with 5 pound notes!!

Yes we may as well try and take advantage of market downturn to position ourselves. May seem a rather selfish thing at this time but you have to look forward and think of longer term security of family, as well as dealing with the immediate challenges
