Results will be interesting next week, wonder if there will be any surprises such as special divi and capex reduction. Whilst there will be loads of distressed assets from oil majors and indebted Oiler's, they won't be worth buying in an ultra low POO environment IMO. I did note that AA is looking at a progressive divi policy so probably won't see any increase in return over 25p. GLA, stay safe

If RRE can postpone or cancel CAPEX to preserve their cash mountain they could return cash to shareholders and/or do some extraordinary acquisitions. I would favour a bit of both

I'm sat watching oilers with huge debt going blue and a company with no debt and cash at multiples of MC sliding 15%. Staggering.

SA maybe $10 but they need to spend $150bn to bring gas online.

Even without the price war oil would be pretty close to this price dont you think due to covid-19

Actually it wasnt. It was from the interview on the 10th. Although I don't care, I average under 5.5p.

He has publicly stated that being listed gives him better access to borrowing to grow the business.

If AA doesn't need a public market for his shares, because of the cash position and book debt, I don't see why he doesn't take it private.

It's not about need it's about opportunity.

He could bid £9 tomorrow and gain control pretty quickly I'd imagine given his holding and the number of people who'd be willing to sell to him just to get out.

I just can't see the economies that rely on oil for their income surviving at prices below $30. Next few months likely see no change due to big demand fall off. But when world starts spinning again everyone's going to unleash huge cash spending to get economy moving and demand will surge. All capex being cut now so no new oil for a while. History shows oil will go nuts then. Perfect storm for 2021 imo.

It might be $10 for the Saudis but not much left to fund their social spending and keep the natives happy, something will give shortly in my view.

Ignore Costax answer. He clearly can't read. Their opex per barrel is $22. I also suspect this has decreased quite dramatically as their cost are in uk so pound has slipped v $. The rest of the $44 per barrel he's stated is capex and abandonment costs. Mainly Capex of which huge swathes can be discretionary. Mkt cap now 4x less than free cash. It's without a doubt one of the biggest miss matches in this regard I think that will ever be witnessed.
