mkt cap here is £13m, similar to ECR who are also in oz seeking gold, yet little CHF is only valued at under £5m and have discovered a shallow 40m interval in their maiden drilling program in Cyprus and raised funds for a diamond drilling program later this year. Of all three minnows i think CHF is probably the best value, but i hold all three in roughly equal measure. Wouldn't it be great if all three came up trumps?

WARNING - 2 magpies is a paid troll appearing on several boards. He holds no shares but is paid per post to try (unsuccessfully) to manipulate the share price. Naivety in the extreme. Filter and ignore.

truth hurts, does it?

but, thanks any way.

Repeated placings (with little to show), would be more annoying, don't you think?

Helping Australia's balance of payments, too!

If you're not interested then why hang around posting the same thing, literally every five minutes? What is your motive? If it's to educate us less knowledgeable investors, thanks. But you only need to post your opinion once. Other than that your constant repetition just dilutes its relevance and become somewhat annoying

Since the 9th August 2018 (that's under 2 years ago), ROCK have raised:

£3,225,000 in placings

AND

had £762,666 come into the coffers, upon warrants exercise

In total, £4,017,666 has flooded in.

What have they actually achieved?

tinnies, anyone.............

laugh?, I nearly..

If these punters in the placing get a dead cert, is that a bad thing? I know it might be justifiably wrong but just say they get a nod and a wink to say great returns. That has to be a good sign and none of us are naive to say that not happens in situations like this.
Imagine if the placing was put out to retail, that would get me worried. However, I think today is a little nod to us small pi's.

indeed excellance

but are placees 'punters', or do they get a dead-cert?

are they allowed to forward sell?

I think you may well know the answer?

Fairly sure that ROCK must have a good indication of what they have to hawk around for funding, tho maybe not conclusive, and that's good enough for me. Miners are all high risk, but rewards can be spectacular.

As punters we pay our money and await the news.

some placee made a profit on half a million shares, then???

They haven't raised many times since the restructuring of the company. That's why there aren't many shares in issue.

of course.

but, how long have they been doing it?

what is their success so far?

how many times have they capitalised on 'hope' and raised funds?

what makes them different?

Answers to those questions should tell you how credible their position is now.

Investors are rightly looking to gold as a safe haven, and the price of gold is now at record levels, but even if ROCK discover gold they are unlikely to get to mine any during this current bull run.

Nevertheless I added half a million this morning.literally as a gamble, a roll of the dice.

2magpies, I understand the risks associated with the sector and I can understand why you, as an investor, might not want to be in it. However there are a number of success stories and I'm interested in finding companies that are in an upward trend. The capital raising at twice the price of the last one reinforces the current upward trend. It could lead to nothing but that's the game. Based on geology holes are drilled and with the low market cap that ROCK currently has there is very considerable upside potential should results be positive. It's broad brush at this stage but the raising, in itself, is positive. imo.

Exactly telbap, and they will either be successful or not. Its very simple.

If they strike something good, the next leg up happens, and now they are funded for the next phase, should see 5p+ on any good news.

You pay your money, you take your chances. Dont like it, dont buy the stock, simples.

@PRO2000Nice to see you here. It does amaze me how some a re bleating here when this company is a gold explo unit. They drill holes in the ground in the hope to find something. That's what they do.!

Thing is, imo: anyone who is, or has been, buying above 1.65 could have been, and is, simply making profit for the nice placees (i.e buying from the placees).

If it's a friend and family placing, why no warrants?

Surely if they have found anything it would be better to take tangible assay results to a financier when ths share price is 8p after telling ths market?

But no, raise now at a pre news level, and thar could be read as either positive or negative

there are dozens, and dozens of Aussie 'explorers' tantalising the market with this that or glinty thing: rarely, if ever they find anything at all. share price rises, fund raise, share price falls, nice rns, share price rises, fundraise . and so on.

as though some creature taking slower and slower breaths, and finally just not breathing.

commonsense question: why would an Aussie tidler list thousands of miles away in Blighty? No one believes them locally??

ROCK has no usp.

As I have posted before: believe it when you see it.

2magpies, I would rather the price went up. Quite often companies announce very good findings but the share price falls. So if the pattern of fund raising continued at 3p, 6p, etc I couldn't care less how the market valued the findings. The fact that the market placed a higher value on the stock would be the important thing.
