01/7/2020 11:29 | Well 5p would be very nice. | george23666
01/7/2020 08:48 | Thanks 2Magpies, hopefully the latest drilling shall bring a good rise on share price | george23666
01/7/2020 08:32 | It was called Papua Mining (PML)-- had a mega licence in Papua New Guinea -- looking for massive copper deposits -- too big a mouthful for PML -- got nowhere -- DP was not there at the time -- Paul Johnson (yes, the very same) + a.n.other - introduced PML to an Aussie prospect - eventually PML relinquished the PNG licence -- so now it is just ANOTHER aussie 'explorer' (amongst myriad). Therefore, it no longer has a USP. (it used to be the only tiddler looking for Cu in PNG) -- that's probably why it was @ 85p PML changed its name to Rockfire. So, essentially, ROCK was never at 85p Totally different proposition. | 2magpies

30/6/2020 20:06 | In 2013 they raised 400k at 80p and had 35 million share in issue, today, they are raising cash at sup 1p and have 632 million share in issue. They need to come up with the goods, at least gold is heading in the right direction and a rising tide lifts most boats as long as they are not full of holes. Would love to see a major get interested though with deep pockets to help sustain drilling without continued shareholder dilution. | goggin
30/6/2020 19:45 | How many g/ton make a mine viable and how does this compare to what greatland gold have recovered at Havieron? 1 to 2g/t seems quite low to make things viable at current prices, maybe not. If a major were to come alongside to support them, then things would really get exciting. Newcrest Reports Further Outstanding Drill Results from Havieron Initial step out drilling intersects significant mineralisation 220m north west of previous intersections ( 82.1m @ 2.4 g/t Au, 0.08% Cu from 557.6m, HAD066) | goggin
30/6/2020 13:51 | I bought back today, just a little | markfrankie
30/6/2020 13:01 | Not hard to figure out. Now they hiding form their main tip off. Which has been flipping since june.. With ridiculous targets my goodness | matunde24
30/6/2020 12:51 | I'd say that the ones on the sidelines waiting will be buying as the funding is complete. The ones who took part will hold for higher gains | janestone
30/6/2020 12:50 | Lots of buying: who is it this time, I wonder! | 2magpies
30/6/2020 09:10 | I follow your logic re the fundraise trail, 2mags, but it isn't an unusual pattern for these junior explorers to take, they start up on a shoestring and stay on one for ages, I went through the same angst when GGP were doing lots of talk and raise after raise after raise and then eventually light. Not saying it will be the same here but I'm probably a bit more on the glass half full side than you, other than that I get the sceptical point of view too but happy to give a bit more slack. But I always shave some off spikes when they occur. I looked at the twitter link too, no idea if genuine or not but twitter is notoriously full of chancers and tricksters so I don't spend too much time on it. Get your songsheet out for Waltzing Matilda so you'll know the words when the time comes:) | paleje

29/6/2020 17:31 | This won't appear in the 'major' shareholdings list, but it is a big purchase: | 2magpies
29/6/2020 16:55 | the thing is ROCK have raised funds over and over again since the PML days - for some reason DP doesn't seem to be too keen on increasing his holding. I repeat: rainy season + covid shut down etc: how did they spend that money? Also no London AGM, so no club class travel (?), 5* hotels(?) etc. From what I have seen, moving the target -- that shiny shiny thing -- still further on, and yet further on has been ROCK's MO for a long time. Now they have gone from 100m to 200m to 500m and now 750m!!! 1000m next???? Usually they acquire some more acerage, and bit more in that field over there, and that hillock? -- well it looks awfully like the mega gold mine 100 km (may as well be) away. This time its vertically moving further down, not laterally, further along. Yes, I agree, the discount was, not that big --- only apparently so, however: do but note ... the jump in the sp, before selling slipped it somewhat, and then the placing - so, really one needs to compare with the recent peak (1.20 offered v the 0.85 placing, i.e. a 30% discount). If there is a big find and a proper spike, then, as sure as hens lay eggs, there will be a massive dollopy fundraise, imo. Neon lights will go one, for me, however, if DP partakes in any meaningful way (£100k+ worth). | 2magpies
29/6/2020 11:47 | 2magpies..valid points raised. The only good thing is that 0.85 is not too far away from current share price and it all got zapped up. That might be a good sign and gold exploration is an expensive buisness? | george23666
29/6/2020 11:47 | We don't know if they'd guzzled all of it 2mags, we don't know what the cash situation was pre-raise, I doubt if they were on empty. Point taken about digging deeper but we won't have too long to find out. The interesting thing was they didn't have to incentivise with mega discount to get the dosh and they didn't offer any warrants so I think it bodes well. Also as far as I noticed there wasn't the usual spate of forward selling. Perhaps with a bit of luck we'll all be waltzing with Matilda soon. | paleje |
