25/1/2017 22:10 | 1R bought Perk for their "engaged" customers. However, so far over: Perk have upset a lot of Perk App users with many giving them poor ratings and potentially uninstalling their apps. Perk has been withdrawn from the Indian market - 1R have said in the reviews IF/when perk will be re available..that's a huge market to lose... How long did Perk spend gaining customers in India only to lose them at a stroke... The Alexa rankings on 2 of Perk's sites, travel-wise and wheelscene, show that the rankings collapsed after Sept/Oct time... wasn't it Sept update that 1R used for DD? So how many "Engaged" customers are 1R actually getting? It's possible that in the short term they will still have the advertisers money coming in but with fewer users to claim any gifts, it could show higher profit in the short term... | ![]() sikhthetech
25/1/2017 21:35 | Well they didn't wait long to make their mark on the Perk business with those apps being disconnected in India straightaway still puzzled about what 1R really saw in this Perk acquisition to keep Tosca onside, were they not supposed to be growing the business globally according to the RNS? | ![]() gowlane
25/1/2017 20:45 | Some of Rubicon's problems are due to them being slow in their take up of Header Bidding.. How are 1R doing with adoption of Header Bidding? "Header bidding is all the rage in the programmatic ecosystem at the moment, and it signals a significant shift in the way advertising is bought and sold." | ![]() sikhthetech
25/1/2017 20:40 | Adform's job cuts follows Rubicon and other companies who have recently announced job cuts due to the fall out of Methbot, slow takeup of Header Bidding and programmatic buying sector cools.. "The revelation follows several similar such moves by other adtech outfits including some of the sub-sector of the online advertising industryâ&euro "The company's stock fell 35% in the second quarter when CEO Frank Addante told investors it had been slow in adopting a header bidding strategy. Header bidding is a technology that allows all of a publisher's partners to bid on ad inventory at the same time, which often translates to more money." | ![]() sikhthetech
25/1/2017 20:30 | It is indeed a good job 1R did its cut backs and restructuring over a year ago!You could conclude that BM had a great insight as to what was going to prevail in this sector? So here we are, lean mean fighting machine!Just as BM said, the weak will go under and only the strongest will survive this ongoing consolidation.Only the strongest will survive. The strongest will imo comand a premium. | ![]() kendonagasaki

25/1/2017 12:08 | I am not a believer in charts - in business, history is just that..past form that usually means nothing, just a punt! However - if we go back 9 months to the last full year accounts at RTHM, this stock has increased at the rate of around 2.6p a month..wow! - that should tell you that the big players are slowly taking control. The Perk deal could have given opportunity for gangsters to inject a little pressure - the RTHM share price has been very robust this last nine months - add a better than expected full year this May - you do the math. | ![]() barkboo
25/1/2017 11:51 | I believe Perk shares were still trading last week in Canada so any shareholders over there could have sold for a buyout premium and a slight rise since the deal was announced but didn't do so by the 20th when the shares were suspended/taken off the Canadian exchange so probably going to hold on to them now when transferred to 1R for the ride | ![]() football
25/1/2017 11:40 | It's interesting to see how many here held Pace - 1gw, STT, myself, to name a fewYes, shares in Arris were a long time coming... | ![]() wheeze
25/1/2017 11:37 | This stock will not be one that gets away from the pi, unlike most aim success stories! The Scampi has finished, the secret is out, the 40%er will start the corner. John John will vanish - and so will his sidekicks..unless they enjoy ridicule? The share price at present is embarrassing - Tosca, RG are invested unhealthily heavy, and yet they make no effort to hide any negative trades - and they could!! Why? lol Blackrock may yet have a part to play in this? | ![]() barkboo |
