Added in at 74 and leaving it at that for now though will see how things go over night and decide after the open tomorrow. My view is the war is no where near Moscow, life goes on for now there and the ordinary Russian continues on and the price of warehouses isn't going to zero. Big risk is the company can't get money out for divs etc

I was one of those sellers at 89p, took a significant loss but, not sure where this all ends. Bought ABDN with the proceeds, although could have done better there if I had waited a few hours.

Amazing how well RAVP's holding up - glad you got a chance to exit @badtime. MMs took loads of sells at 89p this morning; in comparison, FTSE100 constituent POLY down 43%, despite what it produces (gold) being well up.

JRS another way out of kilter with reality - only down 23% when many of its holdings down more like 40%.

Edit - POLY now down 52%. In comparison, FRES up 7%. Location location location.

Been lower in RUSP days. In fairness, it's holding up very well considering eg POLY -37%, EVR -29%, POG -28%, RAV itself -22%.

If Russia gets cut off from SWIFT would it even be possible to get money out to pay the dividend? That's if the properties remain in functional ownership of course. I haven't held these for several years because of the risk. Also, if I recall correctly, aren't these behind that other tranche of preferred debt Woodford created?

Putin is old hat. Yesterday's man. Unhinged even. I speculate that there's a queue of ambitious politicians in Moscow wanting to remove him. The condemnation of his actions is global. But economic sanctions will not cut it and the west will go no further. It needs a putsch as I'm certain the Russian people believe the Ukraine adventure will end in years.

I think, there will still be volatility in the coming weeks. Swift payment is definitely off the sanctions list. Russia is not Iran. The west needs Russian resources. The Russians are used to hard times. The soft bellied tree huggers in the west would not last one hard winter. Politicians in the west just think about the next 4/5 years. Russia and China plan for 50 years.Anyway, have put in buy orders in at 95p,90p and 85p.

MMs will always make out like bandits on RAVP, more so when there's uncertainty.

Can see an 11.5k sell went through at 85p yesterday, fwiw.
