We detemine a date for mass filter for Haystack, say about 1 month from now or less. We all filter him all at once. Bang Haystacks history, until the day we can trust him and the filters will be lifted.

Date now set for Friday 15th 7pm ....Haystacks last day

Filter at will if you can't wait.

And since Matthew mentioned that comment of theirs, the stockmarket fell 15% and - until this morning - their share price didn't..

Way to go.

CBG - AGM P/W

'However conditions remain tough for our stock market related businesses. In particular, many of our asset management businesses have relatively high operational gearing and are feeling the effects of the continuing stock market weakness since our year end, as is our corporate finance business.'

Cant see how RAT can survive this.....

Thanks for that BYRDSONG.
When I am competent enough to use cfd, I think I will be giving
IG a wide birth.
Another lesson learned.

Not silly.

IG won't offer these shares on spreadbets or cfds.

I was short through city index cfds, who don't have these silly rules that harm the interests of clients. They do this by covering me in the market so are really neutral. If they can do it I'm sure IG could as well. It seems to me that IG are behaving like a bookmaker with a vested interest whereas city act much more like a broker. It means the bulk of my business goes to City.

BTW I covered rat yesterday flat.

Question from a novice.
If your having problems with spread bets, would cfd not be better?

I reckon ig have looked at these types of shares and despite the wide spread are still losing money. Gives the lie about being indifferent to whether their punters lose or win. They refused the other day to go into the mkt to get the mkt price on a trade i wanted to do 'cos it would cost too much.' When the mkt settles they'll probably get back into these shares - it just is a matter of them being sure that the odds r back in their favour. Think I'll give them a ring and moan.

Cantorindex.com will take RAT bets - but sometimes has to be in £10 bites thanks to timid nms.

IG just turned me down (closings only) said that if NMS*share price less than £10k it is too illiquid for them. Managed to get short in INT away because IG's brokers will deal in 5k (NMS 3k) which brings us above the £10k limit. All very confusing but IG are obviously having ahard time with mid cap shorts!

Sorry about original post, I think I used a "less than sign" which has another meaning for posting charts.

What? - rat's a 250 company isn't it - certainly not a tiddler. Tell them that IG, City etc etc r making a mkt in them and work on their sense of professional pride (if they have any)!
