I've over doubled my position size here. Its a quality company. Good growth over the last decade yet the share price is on a P/E of 10 and its back to where it was 5 years ago despite having a c5% yield. Quite often in the past its been on a P/E of c20. Its very undervalued for such a high quality wealth manager in my view.

Rathbones spent £150m on Saunderson, adding £4.7bn worth of advised assets to its coffers. The deal, which was completed in October, lifted Rathbones' total advised assets above £8bn. It also boosted the number of in-house financial planners at Rathbones from 25 to 80.Peel Hunt analysts Stuart Duncan and Robert Sage described the acquisition as an important one, making the firm's investment case much stronger. They have put a price target of £25.95 on Rathbones, around 29% above its current £20.10 level.

So much for the perkier share price!
It would appear that the share price has been pretty dramatically permanently "re-rated" downwards.
Should be results soon but I cant see that it will make any real difference.
I still have this on my watchlist as it seems decent value but cant bring myself to buy back in again at the moment.

Yes perfectly respectable update , unlike the share price performance.

Been a poor performer. Don't understand this share, growing fum , decent fund performance, supposedly correlated to a rising market yet share price languishes around 1500p as market races up. Just got to hold , enjoy a decent div and wait for market to realise this has been overlooked.

Bought a few. 40% upside to the high of 2800p. Perhaps temporarily out of favour owing to reduced margins while they invest to grow. But more than in the price at 2000p, I hope.

Read Zeus Capital's note on RATHBONE BROTHERS PLC (RAT), out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB0002148343

"Rathbones has delivered resilient FUM and net operating income in the face of volatile markets. RUTM’s growth is particularly impressive. Group 1Q16 net operating income of £58.9m is 0.9% above our £58.4m estimate, with RIM’s £53.5m income just above our £53.8m estimate and RUTM’s £5.4m contribution 17% above our £4.6m estimate. While RUTM’s contribution is higher than expected, we leave our forecasts unchanged with three more quarters to go. Interim results to 30 June 2016, due on 28 July, will provide an appropriate time..."

Prince Charles has led the tributes to Harry Patch, the last trenches veteran from World War One, who has died aged 111. Skip related content

The Prince of Wales said nothing could give him greater pride than to pay tribute to Mr Patch.

He told the BBC: "The Great War is a chapter in our history we must never forget, so many sacrifices were made, so many young lives lost.2

The Prince continued: "So today nothing could give me greater pride than paying tribute to Harry Patch from Somerset.

"Harry was involved in numerous bouts of heavy fighting on the front line but amazingly remained unscathed for a while.

"Tragically one night in September 1917 when in the morass in the Ypres Salient a German shrapnel shell burst over head badly wounding Harry and killing three of his closest friends.

"In spite of the comparatively short time that he served with the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry Harry always cherished the extraordinary camaraderie that the appalling conditions engendered in the battalion and remained loyal to the end."

Prime Minister Gordon Brown added: "I had the honour of meeting Harry, and I share his family's grief at the passing of a great man.

"I know that the whole nation will unite today to honour the memory, and to take pride in the generation that fought the Great War.

"The noblest of all the generations has left us, but they will never be forgotten."
